vocatus
I have two BTSync nodes, both running latest client and both running Windows 7 pro with all patches applied. I cannot, for the life of me, get them to sync without using the relay server. I've disabled Windows' firewall on both ends. I've forwarded the correct ports in my pfsense routers on both ends. How can I fix this?
RomanZ
@vocatus Couple of things to try and check:1. Remove your router port forwards - and let Sync do the job for you - enable UPnP.2. If you want to control port forwarding on your own - make sure there is no mistake:- You need to port forward the port on router which is marked as "listening port" in preferences on your peer, standing behind your router.- You need to forward both TCP and UDP protocols- You need to make sure that either tracker server is enabled OR you defined your other peer in predefined hosts3. Check with your provider if it does not put you behind NAT (in this case no port forwarding or UPnP going to help you).
vocatus
Hi RomanZ, thanks for replying. I'd use UPnP but can't use it at work, so just relied on doing it manually. Here is the configuration on the work side. Here is the configuration on the home side. Tracker server is enabled and the provider doesn't NAT us; all WAN IP's are public. Is there a way to see why it isn't connecting?
RomanZ
@vocatusLooks like port forwarding configured correctly. I can only guess that your pfsense randomizes the port when Sync connects to tracker - therefore Tracker reports invalid port. Try disabling the tracker and putting valid public IP:port to predefined hosts. This can also be debugging with full output debug log - you need to search for messages with "connection" keyword and "tunnel" keyword. Or just collect both logs and send to me.
