GreatMarko
Please check the hidden .sync/Archive folder on all the devices you were syncing with - chances are, your "lost" files are there.
angel-in
where is this folder located please?
GreatMarko
You'll find a hidden .sync folder in each folder you add to Sync. For example, if you were to add "C:\test" to Sync, its hidden .sync folder will be located at C:\test\.sync
angel-in
I found the .sync folder. There is a folder inside called archive but it's empty. (( How can all my files just 'disappear'??
Helen
angel-in, When exactly did it happen - what were you doing in Sync right before you saw the files got deleted? Were you removing the folder from Sync? Or were you disabling 'Sync all'? If yes, did you put tick to "delete files' option?
azromarie
Sooo, and I understand this is an incredibly stupid question, but if I did happen to have that Delete Files option ticked, it's probably pretty hopeless getting my files back if my Recycle Bin has been cleared since the incident, huh? Helen
azromarie, hate to say that, but yes - files deleted in that way skip the bin, and this cannot be undone,There are two ways to try to restore them: re-download them from other peers and/or backup source, if they happen to have the files. And to try data restore utilities and apps. I cannot guarantee success of any of these utilities though. We are considering to get rid of that option.
