Help with Headless Linux Configuration

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to sync some files between an iPad and a headless server running Debian 11.  I've installed the Resilio app on the iPad and the resilio-sync package on the Linux host.  When I browse from a Windows PC to http://192.168.x.x:8888 the Linux host displays the "Welcome to Sync." page, then pops up a dialog titled "Resilio Sync is installed" and asks me to provide a Username and password for the Web UI.  After entering a username and password, the dialog disappears and returns to the "Welcome to Sync." page, asking me to "Choose a name to show when you send and receive folders."  But the "Get started" button is grayed out.  I'm assuming there is a permissions or configuration issue somewhere, but after flailing for several hours, I've been unable to get any farther.

What have I missed?
