Didn't work. How do I change to 0777 permissions using OMV5? -
Sync Multiple Drives to Different Locations?
tannaroo replied to FlashPan's topic in Sync General Discussion
Thanks Andy - I'm using OMV5 and the directory has read/write permissions (I checked that). Tried restarting but the underlying folder doesn't have the .sync folder. Is there a way to manually copy the .sync folder using windows explorer? -
Sync Multiple Drives to Different Locations?
tannaroo replied to FlashPan's topic in Sync General Discussion
I’ve made some progress but still getting errors. Modified as follows: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Movies:/sync/driveA /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Music:/sync/driveB On Resilio webUi, I can add the /sync/driveA folders but get an error message when trying to add /sync/driveB folders. Error message I get is ‘foldererror32795’ Any help? -

Sync Multiple Drives to Different Locations?
tannaroo replied to FlashPan's topic in Sync General Discussion
Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a similar issue. I'm using OMV5 and have setup resilio to backup my movie folder from one external drive. For example: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Movies:/sync That has worked fine. Now I want to backup my music folder but its located on another external drive. When I setup: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Music:/sync it said it cannot have a duplicate sync folder. So I changed it to: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Music:/sync2 But when I go to the web ui, it only seems to allow /sync - it does not recognise or see /sync2 How do I get the second external drive onto resilio please? -

Is it just me but the resilio andoid app does not allow you to send or sync a folder from the andoid phone to a desktop? this feature seems possible between resilio client/server if installed on linux/windows but not from the android phone app.

Custom Folder Backup on Android Not Working
tannaroo replied to yottabit's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
It was a quick marriage, maybe too quick. Resilio was not bloated and quick - it had all of the hallmarks of a succesful marriage but problems quickly began. And no communication. I mean no communication. Resilio was disinterested. I was frustrated. In desperation, I tried again to make this marriage work. But alas it was over. I wandered the streets all sad until a new darling emerged. True she was not quick but she communicated well and she was easy to talk to. Yes I too have left resilio for syncthing. But hopefully one day, Resilio might take me back but she will have to change. Bye bye and Good luck! -
Custom Folder Backup on Android Not Working
tannaroo replied to yottabit's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
on my android, i've set up a link to my desktop. i then go to Folders on my App and click the + sign. It gives me a choice of Send file, create folders, add backup, scan QR code, enter key. So i cant see how I can select a folder on my phone and choose on the app, so that it will link/sync back to my desktop? -
Custom Folder Backup on Android Not Working
tannaroo replied to yottabit's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
I wish I had seen this post before embarking on resilio for I too have a similar problem. I am trying to sync a folder from my Android phone to a desktop folder (rather than a custom backup) but can't seem to get it to work. in fact not sure if this possible from the Android app? -
There is very few files for now, only about 20. I am testing Resilio on RPi4 to get it working and to understand it, Then I will move it over to my main openmediavault server running on a Dell i5.
-
Sorry I am testing Resilio on a RPI4. On Resilio side, I see: /sync/Music/Master /sync/Music/TestSync On server side, I have: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music/Music /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music/Master /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music/TestSync With the volume setup now, I have: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Hippo:/sync
-
Ok have added extra columns to see what is happening and now I am utterly confused. Although my volume has changed to: /srv/dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music:/sync And on the WebUI, I can get to /TestSync which is a subfolder of my network drive above. On the webui, the path is showing as /sync/Music/TestSync I am using openmediavault v5.
-
ok wil lhave to check that. but i may have been premature that the issue is sorted. although I can now see TestSync on the WebUI and there are files there on the NAS, the WebUi is saying the folder is empty.
-
I have just played around with the volume and changed it to: /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music And now I can see the TestSync subfolder when I click add on the GUI but I have another question. Under the volume /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music, I actually have three subfolders: Music, Master and TestSync. Do you know why I am only seeing TestSync as I would have thought all three subfolders should be showing?

I'm using using the linuxserver image as I could not even get the resilio sync docker image to work. But tried to add an extra directory but no change but that is probably because I am using different image,
