chicagonyc
I've had great success with BTSync up till the past couple of days. I sync several folders, including my 60+ Gb picture folder. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on one machine, and Windows 8 64 bit on my other machine. Both running BTSync 1.3.106. The problem is that BTSync is endlessly trying to update and sync files that haven't been changed or touched in any way for a long time. I'm including a screenshot of the transfer history and the queue. None of these picture files from October and December 2009 have been touched. But BTSync all day and all night grinds through, creating .sync files, and stuffing the SyncArchive folder completely with multiple copies of these files. It just never stops updating these two subfolders in my picture folder. What can be going on?

Merk7
I have a similar problem, but do not see any .!sync files in the affected directories. I do have a few xxxxxxxxxxxx.!sync files in other directories, but those directories do nor appear to be affected by the endless re-syncing of unchanged files. Any thoughts are welcomed! Thanks. Helen
Merk7, Please, provide more details: what are the OS of your devices, what types of files. Do I understand you right and uploading devices shows files in sync queue whereas the downloading device doesn't have those temp .!sync version of these files? in this case I would suggest trying to re-add those files to sync folder on the uploading peer. jtholb
I also have this problem, and I'm unable to locate any .!sync files. My devices that are syncing are running os x and ubuntu. Any solutions or ideas?
jtholb
So, I upgraded all my clients to 1.4 and it seems to have solved the issue. If I'm just too early I'll post here, but as far as I can tell so far so good.
