[Solved] Sync 2 And Macos 10.6

Hello, 

Is there any version of Sync 2 that would work with os 10.6?

 

I have a Mac with Os 10.6 and Sync 1.4, and another Mac with Os 10.9 and Sync 2.

I havent found a way to make a new synced folder between these, as sync 2´s links dont work in the older one.

Is there a version I can install to the older Mac, or another workaround?

In BitTorrent Sync 2.2.7, which is the latest version right now, you can still create classic folders so you can sync between 1.4 and 2.X.

Go to manual connection and enter the RW key and you should be ok.

 

Also I would suggest you update your OS X machines to the very latest version available - just because of the security updates!

Unfortunately, starting from 2.x Sync does not support OS X 10.6. So the latest version supporting 10.6 is 1.4.111.

How do I do this?

When I go to BT sync 2 and make a folder, then Click Share, I get a link, but when I use this link on the older mac, it takes me to a webpage that says "Install Sync 2, If you have Sync 1.4 or earlier, please update first."

You need to have Sync 1.4 installed on old Mac, and Sync 2.x on newer mac. In Sync 2.2 (valid for today) click Add folder -> Standard folder. pick the folder you want to share. Share it.
