Marco Pracucci Report post Posted December 6, 2016 Hi there, I'm running rslsync on a server synching huge Advanced Folders, and the client is logging tons of logs. Is there any option to change the log verbosity and just log warnings/errors? Thank you, Marco
Helen Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Marco, for logging errors only, disable logging. Sync will write only resulting error line. But that will not add verbosity at all, as many errors stem from the syncing process and understanding an error requires seeing what was being happening right before it. Marco Pracucci Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Hi Helen, thanks for your quick reply. What's the option to disable logging? I checked the doc but I can't find it. Marco
Helen Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Marco, Either uncheck "Enable logging" in sync WebUI, or put 80000000 0 intro debug.txt file in storage.
Guest Report post Posted March 13, 2018 Is this still valid for disabling logging at all ? I do not want, nor do I need logging right on some peers, and yes I know what this implies for error logging and future debugging. thanks
Helen Report post Posted March 14, 2018 yes, it is.
Guest Report post Posted March 15, 2018 I tried to be put into debug.txt, one line 80000000 and second line 0, but the WebUI just does the same if you Disable Debug Logging. This is not really disabling logging at all ? And on the WebUI of my QNAP I do not have a "Enable Logging" Option just an "Enable Debug Logging" Option, but as I mentioned, I want to turn logging OFF completly.
