hannahbanana
Hi there Running Resilio on OSX Today after rebooting, it's asking me to create a new identity, despite the fact that sync has been - running on this machine for well over a year - before I rebooted, sync had been completed for several minutes - even if it wasn't complete, I should be able to reboot without losing all my settings? This is about the third time this has happened on one machine or another over the past few months. I have over 12TB of data synced, and it takes forever to get caught up again. Can anybody -tell me how to recover my previous identity so I don't have to re-index etc - tell me why this is happening so it doesn't happen again!?!? Incredibly frustrating. hannahbanana
Does anybody have any clues or suggestions that might help?
Helen
Do you have any specific details that might help? like at least what OS it happened? As you correctly notices, Sync lost its settings - either they were deleted, moved, corrupt or not saved on quit. But actually it's bette to have a looks at debug logs to know why it happened in your particular case. So if you have logs form that moment, please submit them to the support right away. NotInventedHere
Hello. I have the same problem on Fedora. Every time I reboot I lose all my settings and have to configure it again. I found this thread about OSX, and also in Windows, no solutions or non applicable to linux, I guess I'll have to create one.
NotInventedHere
I figure it out. In Linux, at least. Resilio kept creating a .sync folder in whichever directory I happened to be when I ran it. So I created a scrip which changes directory (CD) to where I want the config files to be, and thus it has the same configuration whenever I run it. Phewwww....
