jdrch
I'm running Resilio Sync with a Sync Home Pro license that is working perfectly across 2 Android tablets and 3 Windows PCs. Tonight I tried to add a Linux Mint 18.1 PC by copying and pasting the manual device link key from one of my Windows PCs to the Linux PC, but the latter's Resilio client still shows I don't have Home Pro. For some reason it's just not picking up the Home Pro license at all. Any ideas?
Helen
Any other details, like - what Sync version yo have on Linux, did the devices get linked actually or not? Enable Trial in Sync on linux and restart it. Otherwise, you can just apply the license key to Sync on linux.
jdrch
Version 2.5.4 on Linux. The devices did get linked, as shown in the attached screenshot. How do I enable Trial in Sync?
Helen
Don't you have Try Pro button? If not, then just apply the license key there.
jdrch
Update: Apparently somehow my primary Windows PC lost its Pro license. Once I restored its Pro License using the license key file from my purchase email, it picked up the license and so did all the other peers. Question: I have Resilio Sync installed a service on Windows. When updating it on Windows, do I have to manually kill the Resilio Sync service before updating, or will the updater take care of that for me? Helen
installer takes care of that, but to be sure, better manually stop the service
