2disbetter
As the title implies while BT Sync is syncing across 3 computers (2 on one subnet, and 1 on another) my printer keeps restarting. If the sync process is paused or not running it does not happen. This issue surfaced only after first using BT Sync. It's a wireless/BT/ethernet based printer, and my guess is something is flooding the printers NIC and causing a crash. Any ideas/solutions? 2d
GreatMarko
It's likely to be a uPnP issue - please see these other similar threads:Weird uPnP errorBitTorrent Sync messes up a network printer
jkutay
DISABLE "SEARCH LAN". I am having a similar problem with older HP AIO printers. Model C7280 AIO Network Attached (Wi-Fi or Ethernet, but no problem with USB connection) on the same network as any Windows 7 64bit Professional installation of BT Sync Client (version 1.4.103 Beta) with the "Search LAN" function enabled on any folder (turning off "Search LAN" on all clients and folders seems to reduce or eliminate the problem - took many hours to track this down). The condition renders the printer(s) inoperable (power cycle clears, but only for a minute or two), and generally causes people and techs to fault / replace the HP printer(s). The HP AIO printer error condition is flashing lights and a flash of error code B850B5C8.
jkutay
Yes, it does seem to be UPnP related. I have disabled (on Windows clients, but I don't see how to adjust options on Android client). The HP AIO is now able to function without flashing lights. How do you disable UPnP on the Android Sync client?
RomanZ
@jkutayThis preference is not yet available on Sync for mobile devices.
