datroubler
I installed btsync (1.3.106) on several devices, only on win 8.1 btsync does not start automatically. The weird thing ist that it appears in the task manager in the autostart tab: In BTsync the checkbox is ticked on: I also tried to start btsync as admin and ticked the box but it hasn't changed anything. RomanZ
@datroubler I suspect that something prevents BTSync from writing to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Run\ registry key. Do you have some security software which might prevent such operation?
datroubler
Only avast antivir free. But isn't it weired that in the task manager btsync is shown as "activated"? Helen
@datroubler, yes, that's weird. I have a few questions:1) is there BitTorrent Sync's icon in Notification area? 2) do other peers see Win8.1 machine as a connected peer when the pc in launched? 3) is BitTorrent Sync process running (in task manager) - on tab "prozesse"? Helen
@datroubler, Ok, in regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\and create string value BitTorrentSync with "C:\path where you store binary\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe" /MINIMIZED If it doesn't help, reinstall BitTorrent Sync. Helen
datroubler, do you have a flag "Run as administrator" on shortcut properties on Compatibility tab? If yes, uncheck it. Also, try going yo Control panel-> Power options -> Change what the power button does (on the left). In Shutdown settings section uncheck option "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
