chmars2020 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Share Posted August 14, 2015 I have noticed that is is very easy to lose data with BitTorrent Sync: From time to time, BitTorrent Sync running on one of my OS X clients informs me that sync for some data, usually large files, failed and that the affected data was moved to the archive … That is quite a PITA since the data is no longer accessible on the client where the message appeared and you have to manually rescue the affected data from the archive on another OS X client. If you are not careful or if you wait too long, your data is gone. Since BitTorrent Sync should excel at syncing large amounts of data, this behavior is especially worrisome IMHO. Any ideas? Remirus Posted August 17, 2015 Report Share Posted August 17, 2015 chmars2020, this is not expected Sync behaviour, but there can be various reasons why it happens.For example your file could be locked by another application and because of that Sync cannot update files properly.If your version is not the latest you can update the Sync.Could you reproduce it and send us logs from your peers for analysys?
