SirKronos
I use custom folder icons with a lot of my folders because it allows me to instantly identify the folder I want open. I find it much faster than reading the folder name or using tags (which are not very visible). Unfortunately, it seems that Resilio Sync doesn't like custom folder icons and strips them when syncing to other Macs. Is there a way to preserve custom folder icons when syncing? sk9c00
@SirKronosI'm not 100% certain how Finder detects and displays custom folder icons, (except for the Icon? file that appears in the folder directory), but you can try and whitelist this file in the .sync/IgnoreList or .sync/StreamsList if you're up to experimenting with it... elmimmo
Mac folder icons are a hidden file inside the parent folder which stores its data in the resource fork, which Resilio Sync purportedly supports but only up to a size (which must be rather small since it loses icons indeed). For the same reason, Resilio Sync also cripples legacy Mac fonts.
