  1. Hi xfelix Thank you for the suggestion. I will retry by awaiting a very long time... Thank you :-)
  2. Good morning I rarely work on my NAS Sync interface. Today I called it and discovered that GUI is totally empty (almost-white page!). Please see attached screenshot. This occurs on both my two NAS: -Synology DS716+ (Celeron N3150) and -Synology DS415 (INTEL Atom C2538). Both are running v2.5.7 and I never had issues before. I tried to stop/restart the services and reboot the NAS, without result. Not installed last update (2.5.8) yet because it is not available. Tried to reach the gui from two different pc. Sync on my pc work and they list Sync running my NAS's. Despite the interface is empy, both Resilio Sync work regularly on NAS's. What I can try? Thank you
  3. Helen: now it's clear. Thank you very much for your help!
  4. Helen so, if folder_defaults.delete_to_trash is set to False then files are moved to $Recycle.Bin ? And... switching folder_defaults.delete_to_trash on/off is valid for existing folders too? Or just for newly added folders?
  5. Helen, thank you for the reply, But what happen if folder_defaults.delete_to_trash is set to True ?
  6. Good morning my setting for folder_defaults.delete_to_trash is True (Resilio Sync default). But deleted items (files or folders) are sent to .sync/Archive rather than to $Recycle.Bin (Windows). It seem working at the opposite of what it say... Please, what is the correct usage of folder_defaults.delete_to_trash? Thank you
  7. Hi Helen very good! Thank you very much for the informatio :-) Best regards cq
  8. Good morning please, the exclusion of "System Volume Information" in IgnoreList must be written with or without quotes? i.e.: System Volume Information - or - "System Volume Information" And, another question, IgnoreList (under Windows) is case sensitive or not? (i.e: $Recycle.Bin OR $RECYCLE.BIN) Thank you
  9. I also request this! Thank you ;-)
  10. Hi I have no explanations about junctions support. I hope that Resilio will implement junctions support very soon, as they are a commonly used part of Windows itself and are extremely useful. However, I regularly use junctions without problems: just remember to never rename junction with a name different from it's origin. In other words, leave original directory and junctions point have the same name. Otherwise sync will fail.
  11. Bad new but useful info: thank you. I not installed 2.3.8 yet. Please, let us know what they reply
  12. Yes, Remirus, generally I look at path column. However grouping would be a great feature!
  13. I got courage and installed the update. I can confirm that it works, apparently without problems. Thank you
  14. Hi all I often use Windows junctions and I really love them. discovered that if a Junction os renamed and its name is different from the original name, it's not sinced with bts. Example: Look at this synced Directory structure. The folder synced with bts is "Shared Folder": Shared Folder ---My Documents ---My pictures "My Documents" and "My Pictures" are junctions to folders named "My Documents" and "My Pictures" respectively, that are elsewhere on my Windows fs. Please, note that renaming a junction with a name different from it's origin's name is a very common practice in Windows, and Windows itself use junctions renaming for localization of the OS. Now, I rename "My Pictures" junction (not the original folder) to "My Pictures 2016" Shared Folder ---My Documents ---My pictures 2016 Well after renaming the junction, the folder " My pictures 2016 " is no longer synced. It's ignored as inexistent. In my screenshots, the first image show the origin folder, where "QuickAccessPopup - Junction" and "Session Manager ENVY" are renamed junctions. The second image show the same folder synced with bts on my NAS. Could you, please, try yourself the issue? It's a known issue or I'm doing something wrong? Thank you very much Carlo
  15. Hi all today I tried to upgrade my Synology NAS DSM from DSM 6.0-7321 Update 7 to the last verson DSM 6.0.1-7393 (out on 6/1/2016). I have 2 Synology NAS: DS415+ and DS716+. One second before pressing "Update Now", a DSM windows informed me that: "The packages below are not compatible with the system update and will be disabled after the update: BitTorrentSync Are you sure you want to continue?" I stopped the upgrade immediately. On both NAS I run bts 2.3.7-1 for the proper CPU. Some information about the issue? It is a known issue? Someone tried to install the upgrade the DSM? Some news about the incompatibility? I thought to install and check if the incompatibility is real, but I'm not sure to easily revert my DSM back to DSM 6.0-7321 Update 7 in case bts really stop working. Synology website have no useful info, and looking at "what's new" seem that the update mainly contain bug fixes". Thank you very much
  16. Good morning I'm syncing several linux servers. I usually sync /etc directory but not only. My goal is having a sort of mirror of some critical directories. The problem is that I have no possibility of distinguishing the directories and their origin host. For example, in my bts local client I have: etc etc etc etc etc etc ... ...repeated for each synced server! Obviously each "etc" is in its own directory on my NAS, but in order to understand the origin server I must pass the mouse over the item and look at the tooltip or look at the "path" column, but it's not so easy because directories from the same host are placed in alphabetical order. No other ways to have an instant look of a list of same-name directories? Some suggestion? Why not implementing Groups or Folders? A good and smart way to group directories from the same host! Thank you!
  17. Hi this issue will occur on Synology (avoton) NAS too? With " storage folder" you mean the folder "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent Sync" or what? In case the answer is "Yes", could you tell me what is the BTS storage folder path in Synology NAS architecture that I must backup?
  18. @carloxp Hi RomanZ. I counted the files. Surprisingly, I found 536,233 in total in my shared folders. I also found 1 single directory having 265,010 files. This may affect my NAS memory consumption (and CPU)? Thank you
  19. Version 2.3.2 destroyed my folders list both on PC's and NAS. So, I reinstalled 2.3.3 from scratch on NAS. It's difficult also remember what was the CPU/MEM consuption with 2.2.7. I can only say that I never noted abnormal usage on the NAS. Currently I have 23 directories shared on the Synology NAS and only 1 PC linked. Difficult to say how many files. Maybe ~100,000. If necessary, I can count by sumarizing folder by folder. Just ask. BTS running: BTS not running: My Synology NAS has 2GB or RAM. Currently installed bittorrentsync_avoton_2.3.3-1
  20. I agree. Starting from 2.3.x BTS eat a huge amount of resources (both CPU and MEM) on my NAS (Synology DS415+, Intel, 2GB mem). BTS is managing just about 20 directories. Please see attached sample/screenshot from my NAS resources analyzer.
  21. +1 hope to see a global 'overridable' ignorelist soon!
