noiime
OS: Debian Squeeze x64Btsync: 1.3.105 Changing the password from the preferences in the web UI is working only until you restart btsync. After a restart, btsync will regain it's old password.tx ** I forgot to mention, using "dpkg-reconfigure btsync" the password changed is applied correctly. Brian Buchanan
Having the same problem here with Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS and btsync 1.3.105. The credentials used are those found in /etc/btsync/{instance}.conf and not $storage_path/settings.dat After changing the username/password in the gui the new username can be found in settings.dat until the service is restarted. tuxpoldo
This behaviour is due to the way BitTorrent Sync handles the configuration file and the internal storage of configuration data. You will find more information about this in the following postings: http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/18974-debian-and-ubuntu-server-unofficial-packages-for-bittorrent-sync/?p=83129http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/29589-changing-online-password-on-raspberry-pi/
