  1. It could be different issues. Resilio must indexing all content, normally you see such activities in the GUI. By right click with mouse to the coloumn line you can switch on different coloumns, among others the number of files etc. This must increase up to the current number of files. If you have no permission message and maybe a red exclamation mark beside, I think this is not the problem.

  2. Left side of above sequence is your folder on your server, after the ":" is /sync and this folder is inside of your container. For additional folder you read

    https://hub.docker.com/r/resilio/sync

    about "Extra directories".

    Instead of that is possible to use the sequence /srv:/sync and you make from here your subfolders

    /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo

    /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music

    /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/Music/TestSync

    and maybe

    /dev-disk-by-label-Hippo/TestSync2

    So you have in your container also all that folders, which you can see also in the GUI.

  3. With the free version is only possible to use and exchange the key of each peer. For that you can also only use the standard peer type. You choose on server side a folder to set up a peer. After that you share that peer and copy the key and that key you use on your mobile phone to connect.

    If you have a license, you can share on your server the identity of your mobile phone and if that connected you will find a list of peers of each others are connected to that identity.

    The issue that you encountered has been considered as bug that will be fixed in 2.7.2.

    Here is what you can do to upgrade  to 2.7.1:
    1. Stop Resilio Sync Service via Services;
    2. Right-click on "Resilio Sync Service" in Services - in "Path to executable" you should see path to exe file: "C:\ProgramData\Resilio Sync Service\Resilio Sync.exe".
    3. Rename previously downloaded installer for 2.7.1 to Resilio Sync.exe and move it to "C:\ProgramData\Resilio Sync Service", replacing previous "Resilio Sync.exe" file;
    4. Start Resilio Sync Service again.

    When can we expect v2.7.2?

    If you switch between the "normal" installation and the installation as a service, you should note that in the directories

    C:\Users\.......\AppData\Roaming\Resilio Sync

    C:\Users\.......\AppData\Roaming\Resilio Sync Service

    the files are stored accordingly. I haven't done it for a long time, but basically the working files should be able to be copied back and forth to have the same condition in both. Just test it and make a backup beforehand if necessary.

  6. If you want to have an external drive on your computer, you must connect that so that a drive is assigned, e.g. "H:\". This is not a network drive, but a physical drive, which can also be found by Resilio. In Resilio the drive is displayed when you create a connection and you can connect a peer with it.

  7. Then your system works a little differently. I only have my own servers, some Synologys.

    Due to my configuration, I have the photos in the sync directory on my server that I want. I have, let's say 1000 photos in it, I move on my server e.g. 980 of them in other folders and 20 remain in the sync directory.

    These 20 remain on my smartphone also, the other 980 are deleted from Resilio and the storage becomes free. That is my goal and that is how it works.

    Test Syncthing in your case and I recommen to test the "Syncthing-Fork" APP beside of the normal official APP of it, This APP also have a more flexible camera function.

  8. I use Syncthing in parallel on all my Synologys, Windows computers, Androids. I had problems with the Resilio APP for a long time, so I was forced to use Syncthing in parallel among because of this. Its also great.

    Instead of the camera "tool" of the Resilio APP I use a normal peer between the standard folder on the smartphone and a folder on a host. Files are excluded via the ignore list, this list can be saved beforehand. Then only the files that you actually want are stored on the host.

    I also do not use the standard camera "tool", because sometimes I delete pictures again if they have become blurred or are simply nothing, etc.

  9. It can also be done more conventionally. Instead of the camera "tool" I use a normal peer between the standard folder on the smartphone and a folder on a host. Files are excluded via the ignore list, this list can be saved beforehand. Then only the files that you actually want are stored on the host.

    I also do not use the standard camera "tool", because sometimes I delete pictures again if they have become blurred or are simply nothing, etc.

    I have different Windows 10 computers with build 2004 without installation problems. On all as service installed. Due you try to delete all Resilio components on your computer, also APP data, registry entries and so one and to make a very green new installation?

    Seems also for me, is a bug, but I´m not purely sure. Since in all the past years, it was never a problem. New installation, updates, it runs. Also now on all my computers is v2.7.1 installed. But at timepoint of the updates on all was W10 build 1909 installed and after the Resilio update from v2.6.4 to v2.7.1 the Windows updates installes build 2004. It seems for me, that the problem have also a relation to that build 2004.

  11. I would also like that better. However, I think that advanced knowledge or expert experience may be required. I would rather see something like this in a CLI toolset to avoid misuse.Let's take the following thread as an example:

    I have also had a desire to clean up this list. To have a button or a CLI command would be good.

    In addition, a database reset was necessary for various reasons and was done manually via WinSCP. Stop Resilio, delete database completely, start Resilio. 52 peers were re-indexed, around 1.4 million files and directories, 2 TB, took around 1 day.

    I solved the problem with orphaned devices by creating a new master ID, which then creates a new database anyway. All 52 peers had to be created.
