bartplessers
I configured camera backup on my Windows Phone App. First time sync to my PC is done perfectly. However: if I remove a picture from my phone, it remains on PC. Is there a way to have a real "sync": just keeping both libraries in sync with the same information? stijnos
Use create folder and not 'backup'.
bartplessers
Hello @stijnos: Thanx for quick reply. this would be great. But I can't find this setting on my Windows Phone :-( I f I choose "share", I can only select folders I created within the app. I would like to select the root of the picture folder. As you can see in the attachment, this folder consist of several subfolders.
stijnos
I'm sorry, i'm not familiar with the Wphone platform. Perhaps another Sync user who knows the anwser?
bartplessers
Hi @stijnos I just tried to configure BitSync on my iPad, but it works exactly the same: on my iPad, I can create new folder that I can share, or I can configure "Camera Backup", but this only syncronises the "camera roll" of my iPad, nothing else. Do I mis something here? Edited February 14, 2016 by bartplessers
Helen
this is by design - if you delete a file from backup (Camera Roll) on mobile, it's not deleted from the desktop. On WP and iOS, due to their architecture and closed file system, only Camera Roll can be back-uped. And when you do "create folder" there is no way to point it to Camera Roll, same reason. What you seek to achieve is possible on Androids (:

Hi Helen, it should be possible for the btsync client to recognize deleted files on the mobile device and delete them at the sync target, regardless of the local filesystem permissions of the mobile device. Kind of a "one way sync" option for the camera backup function. I think this would be a great feature.
