  1. I just upgraded from 1.3x to 1.4 on OSX. And I have to agree the new interface is horrible. The old one looked native. And even if it's more work to give each platform it's native interface, I think it's the way it should be done. There's a reason why each OS' interface is different. So each OS deserves a native application UI. Otherwise, the result is just ugly.
  2. When I create several folders with the same name but different number at the end, like chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3, ..., chapter 10, the order in BTSync (Android) is not correct. Modern operating systems show them correctly (just tried in OSX), but BTSync shows in the wrong order of: chapter 1, chapter 10, chapter 11, chapter 2, chapter 3 etc. You can of course rename the folders chapter 01, chapter 02, but this is so 90s..
  3. Thank you guys. I will have a look at the usage data too. Edit Seems you're right, JimmyTheSaint. Thank you. I just wonder a bit why it would need to know getNetworkOperatorName
  4. It looks like it actually is hiding the permission, since phone number and calls is not part of the permissions above. This is why I am asking..
  5. Thank you. Yes, I downloaded it from the app store, and I read the rights you just posted. This is why I am so surprised it wants to access my phone numbers and calls (it's not listed and I have no idea why this data should be important to btsync).
  6. I just installed the Sync Client on my Android device. XPrivacy is installed too. I was quite surprised that XPrivacy told me Sync wants to access my telephone ID, calls, numbers. Could you please explain to me why it would need that kind of information? I blocked it, of course.
  7. I wish there was an option for the Android client to sort files and folders strictly by alphabet, regardless of case sensitivity (currently files are split into two groups, one with lower case and one with capital letters at the beginning).

  9. Currently I'm having the same bug (?) on both iPhone 4S (iOS 7.0.4) and iPad 4 (iOS 6): When opening the app, it autmoatically begins to download all files one after another from my NAS (DS213j). All BTSync versions are up to date. Before it used to only download files when I tapped them. Auto sync is off on both devices. It's annoying since it takes away lots of space, obviously. Edit: Removed the secret from the iOS devices, added it again. Seems to be fine again. For now..
  10. Sorry, I got that completely wrong! I'm afraid I cannot help you.
  11. I'd love to believe that Nah, maybe routers are faster now. But I'd rather run services like that on a separate device. If some app crashes and brings down your router, you're without internet.
  12. That's not the purpose of the program, also its technology doesn't allow that. It relies on bittorrent technology. Not smb/webdav. If you want to do that, you should look for another sync program.
  13. 1Password guys cancelled Wifi sync in the latest versions. Maybe this two apps could work together to sync passwords between computers and iOS/android devices.
  14. Yes, while i hate bloatware, a simple text editor would be highly useful and necessary to bypass the strong iOS limitations. So I'd love to see it happen too.
