  1. This is good news. Thank you for clarifying it.
  2. When we want to use PI oustide, we have to open (and forward) ports for SSH on our routers. As I know it is visible outside for others, that a port is opened here. Does it menas that more "hackers" will try get in and - finally - our internet connection will be more jammed than when we have all ports closed? Will our bandwidth get slowly? Thanks in advance!
  3. Ok, please explain me 1. "Remove folders" means to to remove folders from GetSync app configuration or remove folders with all of its contents (finally from all connected devices)? 2. Is there in GetSync app "autoupdate" function? I wonder, because if it is there, and if it is switched on - removing folders can happend "invisible" for users?
  4. Could it be true? Version not 1 beta, this is 2.3.5 and such issues are possible? I am going to buy BT Sync for my company, but reading it I am not sure it is a serious product...
  5. Hello, Did anybody install that official linux packages succesfully? I was trying on my OSMC, but there is problem:
  6. What a suprise, the slides disapeared completely from your site. Smart way of fixing ;-) Hope they work on it...
  7. Would you please make update also for installation package on your http://blog.bittorrent.com/2015/09/04/sync-wd-raspberry-pi-2/ because there is only 2.0 version...
  8. I mean those on www.getsync.com/how-it-works - slides don't change, cliking numbers seeams they are dead... Shame for new customers who want to understend (not an easy) getsync... Greetings! p.s. Putting links here using 'link' icon seems also to be dead...
  9. Hello, I am using BitSync on Raspberry Pi (ARM) using apt-get update. Unfortunatelly in that Debian Repository last available version is 2.0.93 Is there a way to override that fields and force install 2.0.125 on Raspberry Pi? Or should I write to Debian developers? Greetings to all! Robert
  10. This is a feature which is only in PRO version? Thanks, uninstalling GetSync... There was no talk it will be cut from Free version...
  11. That's right - on all machines joined the folder occurs by itself associated with folder it want to use, not me. So please remove that it is implemented. I give you an example - on my PC1 I add folder "desktop" to SYNC. Automatically on PC2 it makes a new "desktop", but in folder... C:\default_sync_dir\desktop I wold like to give everywhere put the path c:\documents and settings\users\desktop... Just to synchronize DESKTOP of PC1 and PC2, not a loose folder called "desktop". It was possible in 1.4.
  12. Hello, I was using 1.4 to synchronize Desktops of all my PCs and laptops, using BitTorrent Sync and a NAS drive. Now in 2.0 it is not possible, because there is no place to choose a destination folder on disk, when I try to add shared link on another device. Everything is going automatically, and no option to change the folder Sync set for me...
  13. Unfortunately this scenario is not possible;e in 2.0 ... There is no way to set the folder path when I share a link, Sync makes the path only using the default folder. Once I add a folder C:\documents and...\users1\desktop to my profile - it automatically is shared on other devices BUT with no way to give destination folder... Will it change? Other way to resolve?
  14. Well, that's what I need :-) This solution at first look for me was uncertain. The "base" folder on Linux, which have to be the central point of synchronization is empty initially, so I didn't think to start shaing starting from it. But in fact, after setting the sharing Linux folder with first PC made it began to fill with files :-) Thanks a lot!
  15. Hello, I am stuggling with this problem this evening and the solution I've found looks for me not smart, not elegant. There are PC1, PC2 and PC3 and a little Linux machine working non stop. I want all that three PCs have the same Desktop, dynamically changing. I mean if any user of any PC will put / delete something in his Desktop - all other users of other PCs will get this change on their Desktops each other. More of it, I want the Linux machine to be the "central storage" and "central Desktops backup" for all that PCs (as it is working non stop). So I start with PC1, I set the Sync app to sync its Desktop folder with a folder on Linux Machine. Till now everything works right way. But then, on PC2 when I try to sync its Desktop folder to the same folder on Linux machine - Sync says to me, that it is impossible (as that folder on Linux is already synced)... Then, I get other solution for PC2 and PC3. I just go to Linux machine and I click on "Share" in its Sync web GUI on that folder which is paired with PC1. Then I go to Sync app on PC2 and just add that shared key from Linux. I have to do similar with PC3, and it seems to work... but this "chain of links" method looks not smart. I am not sure if it will work in every situation (for example if one of PCs will have a problem). Is there any more elegant and 100% working solution for scenario like this? Thanks in advance for any answer :-)
  16. I have an external HDD connected to my PI B+ and there is Sync installed. Unfortunatelly I can't point any folder in that disk to use with Sync, because automatically mounted disk give read/write/execute rights only for 'pi' user and 'pi' group. So the idea is, to add user of Sync process to 'pi' group. Then - the question is on what user the Sync process works? Or maybe there it anyother solution? Thanks in advance!
