First Create a SyncApp folder on your PC or portable USB device Put the "SyncApp.exe" inside the folder you created Inside the same folder create a new empty "Text Document" file and rename it from "New Text document.txt" to "settings.dat" Start the SyncApp.exe If you want to transfer you old settings, search for them in c:\.......\SyncApp and copy them to the same folder without creating the new Text Document and then start SyncApp.exe.

Hi I've recently become one of the beta testers for syncapp. In the invitation mail I've seen support for ARM and PowerPC. I think MIPS is missing in that list, lots of routers with usb ports have MIPS cpu's with the capability to run lots of things. For example, my own router an asus rt-n16 runs a full php website with mysql, samba server, ftp and transmission torrent client. Since I have a 4TB harddisk hooked up I'd love to sync files to my router as well. In fact it has been my biggest issue ever to sync files properly to all my pc's and have a backup on my router. Is there a possibility for MIPS support in the future? I'm willing to help with compiling issues if required. Also, I do like syncapp so far, it's fantastic.

I am using an iPad 3 with iOS 7 and BitTorrent Sync 1.2.42. I've synced about 3 GB worth of data. Mostly Folders with PDF's and Spreadsheets. My dilemma is that I cannot open any of the files listed locally on my iPad. I tap the "+" button to the right of my folder title, tap the "On My iPad" icon, tap what should be the local version of my folder structure, there are a couple of sub folders to go through before I can get to an actual file, but I get to a file and can see the file, it doesn't have the green check box like the synced folder does and cannot be accessed, tapping on the file does nothing. There is a white check box icon to the right of the folder title...when I tap this it allows me to select the files individually, but it isn't clear as to what this action's function is. All I am trying to do is access my local files from my iPad3, surely it cannot be this difficult.

Hi, Just loaded up BoxCryptor for windows on one side and done EncFS for Ubuntu on the other side, all seems cool to me. Anybody else been playing with the pairing to get the "encryption at the friends house" situation covered? Cheers Mark -
I've noticed that the Syncapp versions are being periodically updated, often and there isn't much notification that they are and what changes are happening in between versions. For several reasons, it would be fantastic to have a change log on the forum: The community can keep up to date with your bug fixes and implementations since updating in app isn't working (afaik) We can test new features and bug fixes and more easily report them on this forum We can give you encouragement on the forum as you do update your app quite often and its always nice to be thanked. Keeps us engaged with your app and eagerly watching the app come to fruition. Cos let's admit it, we're kinda fanboys of the app. I realise its extra work, and notes are usually put on the back burner as your devs are working the code and engineering problems but while not reiterating on the points, I think keeping the community notified would benefit both your company as well as the community.

I was added few folders in the Linux gui (Ubuntu) on 8888 port. Then I was refreshed gui page... and now folder list is empty :/ I tried to add my folders again.. and after page refresh I again saw empty list. But synchronization is working fine.
