My key is: B2D3FUYVNFMK5ZU72A3ZXLDENX5XPWQXN Is there a proper place for publicizing these keys?

@TheDurtch: I'm following now, but short of monitoring your transfers, I'm not sure how you could tell. Distributed is a gift and a curse.

Here's My secret BBO3V2B34NQHMIVMI3VOADOXSNBD56AV3

If I get a few followers I'll probably post about computers, games, networking etc.

Just followed you both. :)

It's interesting how Vole shares appear on the BTSync UI -- this is the first time I've had an opportunity to share folders w/ multiple people. Looks like any node synching with a share folder whose key is publicized appears on the UI of all other nodes that synch using that key.

Each Vole folder is showing me multiple nodes that I don't recognize, presumably these are other nodes that are synching w/ that same ones as I am. This info is not just extraneous to me, I am also seeing nodes whose owners most likely don't expect to have their nodes revealed to me -- I didn't expect that my node would be revealed to all Vole followers of the person I'm following. This may be acceptable in Vole, if we go by the Twitter paradigm, but most likely not if one intends to simply synch with a publicly shared folder.

I've seen some people set their btsync device name as their vol folder secret. So, let's say we're both friends with Dimtar, you could see my vol secret as a shared node with Dimtar's folder. A clever, decentralized way of seeing "friends of friends."

This is Awesome, No 3rd party server keeping logs of your message -

But i don't  thank most of you get it,  this is for private communication between two people or a small group, This is not Twitter.

Yes, the absence of a central entity that hosts the content and metadata makes it very unlike Twitter. However, a user/folder whose key is published (with or without the users' knowledge/consent) on a public site mimics Twitter in that all nodes synching with it are visible to each other. As I said earlier, this may be acceptable as long as the participants are aware of it.

As you Said "as long as the participants are aware of it"

Don't get me wrong i like this a lot, but i can see it going very bad,

some idiot can set this up for a non tech savvy user (new girl friend) and say hay i have a new way for us to communicate,

gives her user/folder key to a few of his buddys without her knowing.

No way in the web gui for a non tech savvy person to understand how this works.

Said idiot could also share private SMS or email messages with friends. Private communication depends on trusting the recipient. If anything, presenting it as something akin to Twitter makes it more clear that it’s effectively a broadcast, not necessarily a private message.

Et voila: B6WGWJYQOOPHGSB3GOXPUUM6KK7LUP6S4

Since in 5 days none of the user id's I replicated with has provided any content, I consider my test now finished. I have the impression, the project is dead, since also the stream of the voleteam is not producing anything...
