Sync Stopped: Device Time Difference Outside Threshold.
Harold Feit replied to yyt_sjq's topic in Sync Troubleshooting

Sync Stopped: Device Time Difference Outside Threshold.
Harold Feit replied to yyt_sjq's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
It means the system clocks, when normalized to a common timezone, are NOT actually close enough to sync properly. You need to run something like ntpdate to synchronize the clocks of the two machines to a common time server. -
What properties do you have for the folder for what type of searches to do for peers?
-
Coming from the main client side of things (not sync), I'd say that this is just a scaremongering tactic. Knowing the tracker address is all fine, but if it doesn't give out any information about who else is on it, or what is being shared through it. They show no peer-identifying or secret-identifying communication in their posted logs, therefore they show no actual insecurity in the protocol or client.

Btsync On Synology 106J With Dsm 4.2
Harold Feit replied to tjeerdopicus's topic in Sync General Discussion
Running "uname -a" from a shell prompt (ssh or telnet, or the web interface if it has a "run command" option) will tell you what processor type it is. The main sync download page has packages you can download to install manually. -
Run btsync as administrator once, re-set the start on windows startup?

Btsync On Synology 106J With Dsm 4.2
Harold Feit replied to tjeerdopicus's topic in Sync General Discussion
Which variant of btsync does it try to install? And what "uname -a" result do you get from the shell? -
Yup.
-
The problem is that you're using two machines with incompatible versions of sync on them.

A built in webserver in btsync

Only one program can use a port at a time. In your case, you're going to need to disable apache's use of port 8888 and restart both apache and btsync.

Sync Syncing Cover Art Pictures
Harold Feit replied to MaxRavenclaw's topic in Sync General Discussion
If the cover art is indeed embedded in the audio files, then yes it is normal for them to be copied over. Sync doesn't pick and choose parts of a file to copy, it just copies the entire file. -
Slow And Inconsistent Syncing (Ds214 Play)

It can improve the initial sync speed. What settings do you have enabled on the share (both sides)? -
Slow And Inconsistent Syncing (Ds214 Play)
Harold Feit replied to steviet's topic in Sync for NAS (Network Attached Storage)
Did you preload the NAS device with files or not? -
As does looking at the "Security" tag for the bittorrent sync section of the forums.

As you add machines to the sync, their bandwidth and filesets are added to the available pool to pull from. Depending on the class of connection, you may hit other limits before you hit your bandwidth limit (random seek times on your storage device for example) It may not get files from all computers simultaneously, but it WILL get multiple files from multiple machines.
