  1. Try adjusting your DPI settings.
  2. The sync will attempt to obtain a copy of the files from whatever devices it can connect to. You can even have your phone off completely and the laptop would obtain the files from the NAS.
  3. Mostly people who use microsoft office and have those files being enabled in the office preferences.
  4. 1> Update to the current sync build (1.2.82 as of this post) 2> Sync your system clocks to a time server.
  5. How long after stopping your work on the files are you waiting before declaring the sync not working?
  6. Syncing between two locations on the same computer isn't a function of sync. Syncing a location between two or more computers is what sync is designed for. Are you enabling local discovery on the sync folder entry?
  7. Sync isn't intended as a replacement for traditional torrents.
  8. Counterpoint: what's the point in spinning down the disk. A hard disk takes most of its damage during spin-up and spin-down cycles. More than ANY amount of usage in between.
  9. Nope. It's already the way you want it, not the way you THINK it's behaving.

  11. There appears to be a UPnP based server (such as a media server) running on your machine that isn't responding properly to the UPnP requests issued to it. It's probably reporting itself as a router when it isn't one.
  12. When telling us what version of sync you're using, please do NOT use the words "latest version" because users tend to rely on the check for updates function which doesn't always have the latest version available on it.
  13. Sync is used to syncronize files between two machines. Remote is a phone-style app used for remote control of a REGULAR BitTorrent instance. Neither has anything to do with usage of downloaded files.
  14. Step 1> Update ALL machines to 1.2.82
  15. Because you double-clicked on the "Post" button most likely.
  16. Except if you turn the use of the tracker server off, then BT inc won't see it.
  17. It's typically a direct connection, no amount of encryption will hide the IP address.
