  1. the .sync directory off of where you run the executable from
  2. Did you remove the ".sync" folders that were created in the locations you ran sync from?
  3. It means that the relay servers (in case of firewalled relay connections) are in the US. No decryption happens on the relay servers.
  4. There's a file in one of your folders that is an apparent index of the rest of it that is being updated semi-constantly. It's not part of sync so it's part of something else you have active on your system causing the constant sync of it.
  5. All of this description and there's no mention of which version of sync is being used.
  6. Put a "~" before any entry in your syncignore that you want to apply to all subfolders
  7. not really, just not something you were using before.
  8. Each individual device can have the secret no problem. If you're having problems, it's probably because your devices are mirroring their configuration for some reason. Sync, with the full access secret, is 2-way.
  9. You can't add the same secret to the same device multiple times. Any device you add the secret to can sync the files. What is the EXACT message you get with the second android device?
  10. Syncronize the clocks of ALL your machines to the same time server.
  11. Make sure that at LEAST one of tracker server or dht is enabled. You might consider using relay when required as well.
  12. They're in the folder preferences for your shares in the sync interface. In the web interface, they're on the general tab. On windows machines, they're on the properties tab.
  13. You should upgrade all the versions and replace all the rules in your internet security software on all your machines for the new version.
  14. The way things currently work, as individual machines get the files, they contribute to other machines getting the files. The two machines together on one network should be getting maximum speeds because of the direct connection, thus allowing them to synchronize faster unless you've fiddled with advanced settings. Sync chaining like this won't work quite as well as you'd think because of the fact that having multiple systems uploading would allow the overall average speed out of the slow network to be higher.
  15. How long after restarting sync are you waiting? I found that it takes a few minutes to populate the share list after restarting sync on those devices.
  16. If your target device is a FAT32 drive, you have exceeded the filesystem's limit for that file.
  17. What version of BTSync? Are you sure it's not just a case of the transfers of the files going faster than the indexing?
