  6. They are both TCP and UDP. And there is no magic "list" that will work. It's just the port set in Sync's preferences.
  7. Did it tell you what protocol the data was? Did you actually look at the packets using a packetsniffer to see what they were?

  16. It's either the timezone or the actual clocks on the devices that, after being normalized to a single common timezone, have the system clock more than 10 minutes in the difference. Get them syncronized.

  18. 0.0.0.0 when binding on a server is equivalent to asking to bind to all addresses. Attempting to bind to an IP address that isn't directly on the device will fail.
