Hi, I'm having an issue with a folder syncing music files between two laptops, two desktops all on Sync 2.3.3 and two android devices (phone Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1 & tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S running Android 5.0.2 and Sync 2.3.5). I have MP3 files on a desktop, that I want to be able to play on both android devices, and have access to i.e. change/rename/move on the other desktops and laptops. Currently they are in a folder named Sync Music and all the devices above are linked, I have paid for a pro key. The problem is that on setting up they synced up fine, but intermittently the phone is losing files, they are staying as 0 byte placeholders but in some situations this is deleting from all devices (I have them backed up so its not an issue, just annoying and worrying for other stuff that is synced which is backed up but not every day, although this currently is not synced with the android devices), then it says it is sending the files to the phone but never actually completes the sync. This folder is not set to selective sync on the phone or any of the devices, I have deleted the whole file and started again on more than one occasion, and also changing all the other devices to stop syncing until I had it sorted, which I though had happened as all seemed to be working fine, but as I checked again this morning, as it indexed the number of files dropped and half are now missing. On this occasion although Sync thinks there is half the files there some of these 'missing' files work fine and some do not, and most still seem to be present on the computers. I tried to share the QR for read only when setting up this file but I assume as it is a linked device it still says 'owner' or 'read & write' depending on the basic file type regardless of which key I have used. I suspect what I will need to do is unlink my android devices and then simply share the file as read only when they are unlinked, or is there a different/better way?

I have Sync running on a mac and sync running on a windows 8.1 machine. At least once a day I get random deletes of my files. Around half of my folders and files will be deleted. I will use time machine to restore the files then same thing will happen the next day. Please help really getting aggravated but at same time I love this app.

Hi, A couple of my folders on BTSync were deleted when I switched on one of my synced computers today. Apparrently, another of my computers 'deleted' files in the night. I am not sure how to remedy this. I found some of the files in the sync archive of the former computer. However, they have lost the timestamps when they were first created + latest modification. Is there a way to recover these metadata? I also don't know if more files have been lost...? Would anyone know what the problem is? On a related note, I've also noticed that the upload/download status have been stuck for weeks, usually ~Mb order of magnitude. Furthermore, some files just don't sync over the computers. I really hope to recover the files, they are for work... Thank you for the help. Also to add, out of the 3 computers, which I have access to 2 now, there seems to be different extent of deletions.

Hello, I downloaded the Bittorent Sync yesterday and installed on my machine. I created a sync folder (already has content before). I gave my secret to my friend. He said he successfully got all my files. But today, when I woke up and started the BittorentSync, all of a sudden all my files are gone. Just the files, the folders are still in there. I asked my friend if he deleted the files in the sync folder but said no. I know it has not been deleted, and all my important files are gone. I don't where it goes.

First of all, I have enabled debug logging but the debug.txt file only contains "FFFF". The problem: System A has about 100 GB of photos which need to synced with system B. Certain files appear in the "Transfer" tab of BTS yet there is no activity listed under the "UP" or "Down" headings. After several seconds, the file disappears from the list yet no file can be found on system B. Looking deeper, I searched through the sync.txt file and found a peculiar set of entries related to the unsuccessfully synced files (appended below). It seems that any problematic file transfer that shows the symptoms mentioned above first reports: "missing metadata for file...will force re-indexing", then "wrong number of pieces for file...without metadata, resetting it". Moreover, the file continues to undergo "processing file" numerous times without conclusion. 1. What is going on and where do you suspect the problem? 2. What can I do to remedy the situation?
