  1. right. buffers parameters didn't make any difference. journals are deprecated and no longer written at all. Everything now goes to sync.log file .   2. if this is the standard folder - yes, new peers can manage sharing prefs . RO peers will only be able to share RO key/link. if this is advanced folder - no, only Owner can share this further and change sharing prefs. I suggest trying it first on a test share to make sure that you have 100% understanding of how it works so as to avoid surprises
  3. Please give more details about how you installed it and how you launch it exactly, etc. Check the downloaded exe properties - is it 2.6.0? do you have only one Sync instance working? As for memory, check size of database files in sync storage folder - what's their size total?
  4. yes. that new Sync instance shall be pointed to a different storage folder to keep its settings and database.
  5. see the disk load with 'top' command if you're ok with ssh to your NAS. Perhaps, disks are too busy and write downloaded files slowly. Better contact support with debug logs to have your particular case analyzed.
  6. there is. hove mouse over the conflicted file and see the path. click on it and sync will take you to the file not necessarily. While it may have worked for clearing conflicts in your case, i must warn that this line refers to all files that a peer wants to download. I mean seeing this line does not mean that there are some conflicts.
  7. is "Overwrite any changed files" enabled in share preferences? if not, enable it.
  8. that feedback goes to android developers, but our android developer also received it. New fixed version was pushed to the store (build 786). Update it. Or I'd even recommend reinstalling.
  9. Android was rolled out for a part of google play users. I'll post the link to apk here a bit later. @koira, that's right, Sync is not a cloud, so Files.app shows files that are on the device. As for "content not available" please contact support and send a screen record to illustrate it. thank you. @bratten sure, will update it asap.

  13. Are there more details? like what this folder its, what exactly "doesn't index' means - you mean Sync reported zero size for this share in UI on NAS? And only after you copied files to PC manually, Size on NAS in UI increased ? Any specific details would be great. With these please contact support. As for users: for Sync to be able to to sync files, the user who runs it must have read-write access to files. On Synology it's rslsync user. It belongs to admin group, but you have admin disabled on your NAS. you can explicitly give rslsync access to the folder. people changed it cause they had Sync running as admin user.
  14. This is by design. search for file - tap on it (its name, not icon) -> it gets downloaded. tap on file (its name, not icon) -> It's opened. Tapping on icon is for selecting the file (for multiselect and bulk operations).

  16. are you also expecting icons in Quick Access tab? I've rechecked and looks like overlay icons are not supported there.
  17. Are there peers connected to the faulty share? This message may mean that the folder tree cannot merge with that on other peers, or that some files cannot be read by QNAP. You might want to send the debug logs to support or just remove the share from Sync and add it back and re-share. Check files permissions to make sure that they can be read by Sync (admin user by default).
  18. You're right. Pre-seeding encrypted folder does not make sense, remote 'encrypted' peer will just ignore pre-seeded files in folder and the data will still be synced and go through encryption.
  19. Files can be opened from search screen, of course provided they are downloaded to the phone. What are the steps exactly? Please send a few screenshots or screen record.

  21. it's inside <your_syncing_dir>/.sync folder, it will be named like F47.....7EACD47A.!sync (note the extension).
  22. all that can be synced, is synced there. But some subdirs have '.lock' on them, which is pretty much expected - git might be locking some items. for example: heads/feature/ui-components-20180508.lock" ui-components/lib/itx-vue-webpack/refs/remotes/origin/devel.lock" etc. Release this lock.
