    where exactly is it mounted? If you check sync's config file (/usr/local/resiliosync/var/sync.conf), you'll see that only /volumeX are in whitelist. You can add '/music' there. Stick to json format

    well, yes. Renaming and moving - is deletion and creation of a file. So if you move/rename a file on hostA, hostB will delete the file and once it has Selective Sync enabled, file won't be synced automatically - it'll remain a placeholder

    Pause is not supposed to stop indexing. you can make use of IgnoreList or FileDelayConfig to stop Sync form indexing certain files.

    That's right, user's home folder contains Sync installation folder, you cannot get Sync to sync itself. You have license applied and / or linked devices? or Pro Trial enable, right?

    restart Sync or wait for periodic rescan (each 10 minutes by default). Rescan can be configured - "folder_rescan_interval" in power user settings.

    how you verify that it indeed wants to re-sync data? when you connect two non-empty folders, Sync is to first merge the folder tree - here you can see all your files to be showing in up/download queue in peers list. It does not mean what files are being re-synced. And check that you indeed have the right directories connected - enable column Path and see if that's the dir you need.

    why it hasn't??? open share preferences "i" icon -> there are tracker and relay options. open Sync Settings -> advanced -> power user settings and you'll find relay and tracker settings there as well.......

    DCIM is a camera images folders, so the share gets 'Camera backup' name on the phone by default. This cannot be changed at the moment. On desktops you can rename it though. Will add your case into wishlist.

    sorry, but what else can I do to help if the solution was already given in the linked topics. In this post even the exact command was given to remap the folder. Is this post as well. You just need do it on your raspberry, only adjust the paths I guess, cause you have different path - /mnt/WD

    get faster hdd (ssd?) to spead up reading the databse? Also, you can remove the share from Sync and add it back so that new, smaller, db is created

    there's no way to cease auto download, but you can right-click on the subfolder -> remove from this device . Disabling "'Remove from all devices' has been asked on forum- , think it'll be doable in 2.6, but will require some fancy configuration.

    on my PC Registry editor also reopens Sync does not. We'll see what can be done , but at the moment not much can be done by Resilio's team to fix this new feature of Windows.

    yes, it does. thanks. I don't think Selective Sync will be changed - its main purpose was to deliberately set all new files to be placeholders . But will take notice of this request, thanks!

    Sync reads and loads the database in RAM at start. The bigger the db is, the longer it takes. You can see the size of db files in sync storage folder: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206664690-Sync-Storage-folder

    i don't understand this. Selective Sync is already a per-share setting - you either enable it or disable for each share. it already does it. Select to sync a subfolder in Selective Sync share and files will keep syncing there automatically.

    you can set Sync to listen to either of these ports and use "Predefined hosts' for peer discovery. Cannot guarantee it'll work though

    are you sire you stop the process and not just close UI?

    all peers? Crash on encrypted folders was fixed in 2.5.10. If all have 2.5.12 and still Sync crashes, send crash dumps and debug logs to support.
