Indeed - this isn't specifically a Sync issue, it will be due to hyperlinks within your HTML documents themselves. For example, if the hyperlinks point to locations relative to the HTML file itself, and those resources have not also been synced accordingly, the hyperlinks will fail. Similarly, if the hyperlinks point to "absolute" resource locations, but these locations are specific to the original device where the HTML file as created, they won't necessarily work from other devices. Bottom line - hyperlinks in HTML files link to external resources - Sync doesn't change/alter/reformat/update links within HTML documents when syncing. Therefore if original hyperlinks point to resources that are not also present/reachable on the device(s) you've synced the HTML file(s) to, they won't work. This isn't a Sync issue.

Removed File Right After Uploaded File
GreatMarko replied to rtandon87's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
Are you seeing this behavior just for .pptx files? ...or for all file types? If it's just for .pptx files, does the behavior occur even if Power Point isn't open/running? Do you have any other software monitoring your destination folders as well as Sync? -
The "free" version of Sync only allows you to add 10 folders to Sync. Therefore, if you have added more than 10 folders during a Pro trial, or your Pro License has expired, once Sync reverts to the "free" edition, only the first 10 folders you added will continue to sync. Also, not all Folder Synchronization Modes are available in the free edition. This is likely the reason why you're now seeing "My Documents (1)", as the folder synchronization mode will be "Synced", rather than "Disconnected".

It would help to have a little more information - like, what Operating System are you running Sync on?

How To Delete All Application Files On Mac?
GreatMarko replied to Endogen's topic in Sync Troubleshooting

Have you previously had an earlier x32 bit version of Sync running on your x64 devices? If so, did you completely uninstall it first before installing the x64 version? -

Hi Folks! Good news: BitTorrent Sync’s Android Update Brings Intel x86 Support

Yeah, I'm also currently a constantly spinning tray icon on one of my devices (Server 2008) when no indexing/syncing activity is occurring. I don't think it's specifically related to the steps you outlined, as I randomly have it without doing any of that! I've actually just spoken to the devs - they have a couple of other reports of this same issue, so they are aware of it, however there is no solution at present. UPDATE: Working with the devs, a cause of the "always spinning tray icon" has now been identified - the fix should be included in the next release!

Change your device's Folder Synchronization Mode to "Disconnected", because at present all your sync folders are all going to your default folder, and so when a folder with the same name exists there, it gets enumerated. Changing your device's Folder Synchronization Mode to "Disconnected" will resolve, as you'll then be able to choose a destination for incoming folders

With "sync All" Off - How Can I Control Amount Of Space Used?
GreatMarko replied to halon314's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
Sync won't automatically remove your files after a certain time/storage limit is reached - the only exception being the "archive" function, which retains files that have been deleted, etc from other devices you're syncing with for a certain number of days (controlled by the advanced sync_trash_ttl setting). If your laptop has limited space, you could consider reducing the sync_trash_ttl setting (default is 30 days) or ensuring that each folder's "store deleted files in folder archive" setting is disabled. You can also further reduce the amount of space on your laptop that sync will use by ensuring that debug logging is disabled, and reducing the log_size advanced setting. -
A couple of things you can check/try: 1) Ensure debug logging is disabled in Sync 2) Adjust the values of the advanced settings folder_rescan_interval, config_refresh_interval, and config_save_interval to be longer than the interval at which your system sleeps. For example if your system is set to automatically sleep after 5 mins (300 seconds) of inactivity, try setting these 3 values to be greater than 300

You'll need to change your device's Folder Synchronization Mode to "Disconnected" - that way you'll be able to select a target folder for incoming shares, instead of them all syncing to the default folder

Real Time Sync From Android/ios To Linux?
GreatMarko replied to martin333's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
On your Linux device, try reducing the value of the "folder_rescan_interval" setting in your Sync config file. For more information, please see How soon does synchronization start? Setting how often Sync checks for file changes -
This has been covered on numerous occasions previously in the forums. Please see Comparison of File Synchronization Software.
