  1. I think the default behavior should work well for you, as long as at least one of the other devices have set the folder to "Sync All" instead of "Selective Sync". If all devices (everyone of them) have this folder set to "Selective Sync", then nobody will take the new files, i.e., no sync. If in doubt, you can create cases to test.
  2. As far as I know, all new files will be sync'ed to other devices (non-selective sync mode, or selective mode with the folder selected to be sync'ed), except if . the new files that are in IgnoreList file; . the new files that have .rsls extension (empty placeholder for real files in selective mode).
  3. Isn't it "folder_defaults.known_hosts"? Did you go thru this page? Running Sync in configuration mode – Sync (resilio.com) and this? Power user preferences – Sync (resilio.com)
  4. I personally never start RSL as service on my Windows systems, I don't even have it automatically start when I log in. I only start it when I need to sync files, and exit it once the synchronization finishes. Of course I have 2 Raspberry Pis, running 24x7, with rslsync always online. On the other hand, I am not sure if the pop-up menu works correctly when running RSL as service on Windows (I am talking about the RSL pop-up menu when you right click on files, such as "Sync to this device / Remove from this device / Remove from all devices", etc.)
  5. Just create different config files, and run different instances of rslsync with --config config_file. Make sure you configure different webui port, storage_path, shared_folders, etc. for each instance. use rslsync --dump-sample-config to create config file to start with.
  6. Currently you can't exit by clicking close(X). Right click Resilio Sync's trayicon for pop-up menu, then click on "Exit".
  7. From what I see, RSL inserts ".Conflict" before file extension in case of conflicts: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/204753629-Conflict-files-in-Sync
  8. I have Android 7/8/9/10 devices and they all work correctly with external SD cards. However, since there are so many Android varieties, I recommend that you test on your devices.
  9. If you have one of the paid plans, you can achieve this by: 1. set the share to "Selective Sync" (note: "Selective Sync" is not available if you use Sync free); 2. select some files/folders (<600GB) and choose "sync to this device", wait for sync completion, then manually copy (do NOT move!) the sync'ed files/folders to the other disk, after you finish copying, select these files/folders again and choose "remove from this device". 3. repeat step 2 with some other files/folder (sync/copy/remove), eventually you'll finish all 1.4TB files/folders while only using <600GB space on d: drive.
  10. I suggest that you don't include Android packages in "latest desktop build" topics, because: 1. they are not "desktop build"; 2. their versions are not the same to other desktop build packages, in fact, they are far behind.
  11. You didn't tell us how you "cloned systems". If you duplicated the SD card which has Resilio Sync's configuration files, you might want to delete .sync folder from the the second RPI.
  12. I actually successfully (kind of) disabled log files by doing these hacks: stop resilio sync client; go to "%appdata%\resilio sync", remove *.log; create 3 directories: ShellExtIO.log, sync.log, ShellExtCM.log, then from these directories "Properties/Security", change their permissions to all "Deny" for all user group. start resilio sync client. I end up having 3 empty directories... at least not the huge log files. I also had .sync/sync.log soft linked to /dev/null on Linux systems. By the way, I hate constant logging too. resilio sync client should've offered user options so we can totally disable logging.
  13. 1. Did you verify that rslsync indeed listens to the correct port? netstat -anp | grep LISTEN | grep rslsync 2. checked firewall? I personally use 0.0.0.0:8888 and I can access the WebGUI via any of my interfaces: lo, eth0, nrtap(vpn), zt0(zerotier).
  14. I have 2 questions: 1. Can you link all devices with the original "Home Pro license" and the Windows Server client with the new "server license"? 2. How many free Windows server license did you receive? is it just 1 license for for 1 Windows server, or 1 license for many Windows Servers? Thanks.
  15. This is not true. In fact you can always use configuration file to set Web GUI's port, see https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206178884-Running-Sync-in-configuration-mode
  16. Resilio Sync does NOT provide any storage for you, you need to set up your own storage.
  17. Since this "Windows Server Deprecation" starts with 2.7.0, I think the easiest way to solve this issue is, make a special version of "Resilio Sync Home for Windows Server", maybe 2.6.5, clearly notify user that . This is the last working version for Resilio Sync Home (Free or Pro) running on Windows Server . This version won't automatically ask for upgrading to 2.7+, and probably will never get updated . It warns user that if they choose to upgrade to 2.7+ they will need proper license for Windows Server, and any newer version (2.7+) of Resilio Sync Home for Windows won't be able to install on Windows Server.
  18. Question about "Sharing A Folder Locally": From help center, Sharing A Folder Locally "The local share will only be connected to one peer - self and will only pull data from it." Does this mean this is one-way sync? in other words, can I assume that changes in "Local Folder" will NOT be sync'ed back to "Connected Sync Folder"? Thanks.
  19. I suggest that do NOT run rslsync as root. run it as a normal user with webui's listening port > 1024.
  20. Let's not forget Resilio Sync for Android, albeit appeared in "Latest Desktop Build" topics, it has not got any updates since Dec., 2018, back then my phone was running Android 8 (now it's running Android 10).
  21. Unless in the ideal world in which any software does not have bugs... but in the real world we are living in that does not apply. I don't understand why you're annoyed of updates, because you have the option of not updating.
  22. the url for Android apk is still 2.6.3 (8071), not sure if this was a mistake.
  23. Not sure if @Helen or @RomanZ are real people or just support/admin accounts. @Helen's last visit time was Oct., 25, but her last post was on Jan., 17. I guess @Alex. is the new support staff (not administrator though).
  24. yes, as long as your phone and laptop are in the same local network, just make sure you enable "Search LAN" for the folders.
