  1. @all - issues with Sync preventing some apps (MS Office, Autocad, etc.) from saving files into synced folders have been addressed in today's 1.4.103 build. If you're experiencing such issues, please update and see if that resolves the issue for you!

  7. The .pdf user guide is obsolete and no longer available - it related to Sync 1.3 and earlier only. In fact, that FAQ is also obsolete and has since been replaced by a dedicated sync-help site, which you'll find at http://sync-help.bittorrent.com/
  8. Are you sure therefore that it's actually originating from your phone? (which if your phone is off, is highly unlikely!) Do you have any other devices on your local network running Sync? If so, turning off the per-folder "Search LAN" setting on these devices will reduce multicast traffic on your network
  9. @paulovmaya are you referring to the BitTorrent Client (a program for downloading torrents) or BitTorrent Sync (a completely different program for synchronizing your files between your devices)? (as you've posted in the BitTorrent Sync forum)

You'll need to be more specific - are you talking about encryption of keys, links, files, transfers?? - either way, try searching the forums, as these topics have been discussed and debated previously - at length!   11. You'll need to scroll the list of folders to the right to see the column with the "Share" and "Folder Preferences" icon (it'll be after your "Peers" column, off the right of the window)

I'll certainly get that article looked at next week, because you're right, it's very confusing, and to me it seems rather pointless to install wget on a Windows machine just to check you can reach http://config.usyncapp.com/sync.conf - something you can quite easily do via your web browser!!
  13. There is a 4GB file size limit on Android (Google "android maximum file size")... which will be why your 4.01GB file won't sync! I'll ask what everyone's thinking though... why would you want to transfer a ISO of Windows 10 Technical Preview to your Android device in the first place!?
  14. Two RO nodes in isolation wouldn't sync. A RO node is one where any changes to files on that node are ignored, and won't propagate to other devices. For more information, please see: What is a key and how does it work Yes, if you want to "mirror", you'd need to use RW keys - so that changes made on either will propagate to the other.
  15. Your "one RW to many RO" description isn't quite correct: RO nodes can also share data between themselves, which is why you're seeing some of them "uploading" data. In terms of some of them "never fully syncing", firstly, please update to the latest beta build 1.4.99 and see if that resolves your issue. If not, it's worth checking that the contents of the .sync\IgnoreList file for the folder you're syncing are identical on each device.
  16. RomanZ meant remove the folders from Sync (Folder Preferences - > Disconnect), and then re-add the folders back. No need to delete any data, or indeed uninstall/reinstall Sync itself.
  17. I'm assuming your referring specifically to the iOS app on an iPhone, rather than the iOS app on say an iPad? (as the iPad iOS app already supports landscape orientation)
  18. Instead of using the big blue "Add Folder" button, click Preferences (the cog icon), and select "Enter a Key"
  19. In general beta builds which are considered more significant/stable are made available via auto-update. So if everything is working correctly for you in your current version of Sync, I'd advise waiting for updates via the auto-update function, rather than manually downloading and installing new builds the main download/site forums as you're not missing out on any "new features" or anything. Updated builds published on the forum/via the download site generally contain fixes for specific issues/edge use cases - but if you're not experiencing the specific issues that newer builds address, there's no urgency to update outside of the auto-update cycle. That said, obviously Sync is in Beta right now... and it does massively aid development and the stability of the product if users are able to use/test/give feedback/bug reports on the latest beta builds... so it's your choice as to whether to keep with the auto-update cycle and potentially have a little more "stability" or whether you use the "very latest" beta builds in order to aid development
  20. Welcome to Sync and the forums! There isn't currently a way to "drop" individual peers, other than changing a folder's key and redistributing the new key to all peers apart from the one you've dropped. I've therefore moved this into the Feature Request forum for you
  21. As RomanZ indicated, you may need to remove and then re-add your affected folders back - have you done this?
  22. @ronaksf, what version(s) of Sync are you running? If they're anything less than 1.4.99, please update them to this build as this may solve your issue. Earlier 1.4.x builds had issues syncing files with names containing non-ASCII characters in them, and this was fixed for 1.4.99.
  23. .sync/IgnoreList should be the same on each peer, so yes, you need to add them to all peers
