  1. The amount of memory that Sync uses will increase.
  2. The issue is most likely due to you trying to sync the "Desktop" folder itself. To check, have you tried the exact same setup but using a different, non-system/non-user-specific folder (i.e. C:\test), and see if that sync's correctly between all your devices? If so, that would be a better solution - syncing an arbitrary folder between your devices, and just putting a shortcut to it on the desktop of your three PC's rather than trying to sync the "Desktop" folder itself.
  3. The message basically means that Sync wasn't able to load all of its required components. There could be a number of causes for this - including, either all the files weren't correctly installed, or there's a permissions issue So, firstly, have you tried reinstalling Sync? ...if so, and the issue persists, it's possibly a permissions issue (either Sync wasn't able to create/write all the necessary files it requires to your device, or it is not able to access and "read" them back)
  4. Sync doesn't currently support MIPS, so no. However, considering adding your support to this thread in the Feature Requests forum.
  5. This can already be achieved though Encrypted Nodes - Please see What is an Encryption Key
  6. @syberjj, Consider adding your voice/vote to this thread in the Feature Request forum.
  7. @BrianR549 - are you able to confirm that your issues exist with the latest build of Sync, 1.4.103?
  8. The "Edit" button for your device name in Sync is only present if you've not yet shared any "links" within Sync. Once you share a "link" (as opposed a traditional "key" (formally a "secret")), the device name becomes locked (as it forms part of your security fingerprint used to authenticate/approve the link). The only way to then change you device name is to completely remove Sync (and its settings), and re-install. You'll then be able to edit the device name, and as long as you only share keys and not links, you'll be able to freely edit your device name again in the future
  9. To confirm, are you seeing this behavior in the latest 1.4 build (1.4.103)? This build "Fixed issue with older files replacing newer files in some cases"
  10. Did you install 1.4.103 to a different location to 1.4.72? ...or did you perhaps install the x86 (32 bit) version for one of them and the x64 (64 bit) version for the other?
  11. If you're using the same Read & Write (R/W) key on all three machines, there is no "master" - or rather, they are all "masters", in that they will all share data equally between them. If one of the machines dies and has to be replaced, you simply copy the corresponding R/W key off one of the other devices and use that to get all three machines back in sync.
  12. No - there is no native "cloud storage" component for Sync Please post into the Sync Troubleshooting forum instead.
  13. No, it's not a "legacy URL" - and it can be found when you install Sync: In the top-right corner of the getsync.com site is a "Help" link. Clicking this takes you to the dedicated Sync Help site. On the right had side of the front page of the help site is large "Have a problem?" heading with an "Email the Sync Support Team" email link directly beneath. Sync Support's email address is: syncapp@bittorrent.com
  14. If you're using an earlier build of 1.4 earlier than 1.4.99, this will be the reason! Updating to the latest build resolves the issue with accented characters in filenames that was present in earlier builds (and fixed for 1.4.99)
  15. You'll need to modify the exclusion rules located in each folder's .sync\IgnoreList file. By default, files beginning "~" are excluded from syncing, as the majority of the time such files are temporary/lock files created by applications which you wouldn't want to sync. If you wish files beginning "~" to sync, you'll need to remove the associated "~*" exclusion rule from the .sync\IgnoreList files on each of your devices.
  16. You're referring to the EULA for the BitTorrent Client, and you've emailed BitTorrent Client customer support. Sync has it's own dedicated EULA - which you can find here
  17. Even though your file names are "random", are they always for example the same length, with "-" in the same places? For example: 1c791b6e-b1af-4bbb-87f8-254eed92a42 7ce89a0e-63b8-d7c4-8aee-75fb3e723ba accfe42c-821c-0ef8-fc6a-6fb798ac02e ...could all potentially be excluded with the rule: ????????-????-????-????-??????????? ("?" is a single character wildcard)
  18. A limitation of your hardware, rather than a bug in Sync
  19. Did you see RomanZ's reply to you above? If Sync is working for you on your Android device with r/w keys, but crashing with encrypted keys, it suggests that your device/hardware isn't capable of handling encrypted keys, for the reasons RomanZ has outlined.
  20. Please refer to the documentation: What is an excessive time difference error?
  21. You are correct that Sync doesn't currently natively support multiple user accounts. A potential "workaround" however might be if you can install/run multiple instances of Sync on your NAS device, each with a different config file, with each one specifying a different listening port. This could theoretically allow different users to connect to your NAS on different ports. As I say, running multiple instances of Sync isn't officially supported/recommended, but could be a possible workaround to enable a form of multi-account support
  22. Someone's not read this thread properly before jumping and complaining!! It's not a "per computer" pricing model - it's "per person" - if you're running Sync on 8 of your own devices, it's $39.99/year - NOT 8 x $39.99/year!!
  23. As N4TE_B has said, "Feature list will be distributed as we get closer to launch". Your observation is correct, however, that one of the image captions in the blog post indicates you'll be able to "Access Folder Contents On-Demand" in "Sync Pro"... take from that what you will... and watch this space!!
