  1. @all, Could you please collect debug logs from couple of affected computers and send me for analysis? Thanks!
  2. @Dimitri The 1.4.99 build should contain the fix preventing NAS from sleeping. Are you sure that other devices in mesh do not require some data? Any change on them will cause wake up / non sleeping. If yes - could you please send me your settings.dat file? it does not contain your keys so is pretty safe to send.
  3. @trevellyan MacOS stores some user-valuable information in xattrs - like, the fact that file is downloaded from internet or color-tags attached to files.
  4. @marmite_sandwich What is your hardware? 100Gb in 17K of files and folders is not that much for sync. Taking around 1Kb per file/folder it will take around 17Mb of memory space, while 100Gb can be hashed within around 30-60 minutes on modern SATA drives and high-power CPUs.
  5. @Scott1x Actually, makes sense at least for Linux builds as they are not signed. We'll consider to change the download website in future.
  6. @zeropluszero Thanks for the feedback. Please keep using and inform me on any issues you encounter.
  7. @all, If anyone with stable issue reproduction wants to help us to debug this nasty issue - please send me PM / just acknowledge in this topic. We'll supply with debugging builds and instructions. @mariano As you are already helping us - no need to post for you here. We really appreciate your help!
  8. @mirou I've created ticket for you, so now we can continue in ticketing system. What was the e-mail address that did not work?
  9. @marmite_sandwich If out of sync issue comes back - please enable debug logs and send them to me for analysis.
  10. @mversion We'll need your procmon logs. Could you please capture what happens on your PC when you try to save the file and send it to me? Thanks.
  11. @BitDuck We'll need your logs to understand what happens on your peers.
  12. @zeropluszero Unfortunately no. The issue you suffer is discussed in this topic - we are working on fix for it and will release it as soon as fix proves to be working.
  13. Seb, We understand it. Hopefully it will be available in next major release.
  14. @lupus Yep. PM. I've already sent you a response. @all who received experimental build Please do not hesitate to report on issues you see with the build to current topic.
  15. @vpetersson Well, not actually. After you added files to ignore on sender, it can't simply delete them from the tree in memory, it starts saying to other peers that it do not have them. Though, other peers already know that these files exist and they want to download it. So, it is highly recommended to keep IgnoreList same on all peers (yes, we want to make it automatic in future - though it is not implemented yet).
  16. @all, As @GreatMarko informed - fix is on the way and will be available soon. We hope for few days (though in worst cases Apple review can take longer - a week or two).
  17. @prog9999 Oh, sorry, did not notice what text auto-correction did to my post . I've meant "re-adding". I.e. disconnecting from Sync and adding again.
  18. @Scott1x Latest build available for public is published on the download page. Usually, me or someone from moderators also post it on the forum. The MD5 won't help you to determine if the build is the latest, just to control the integrity of delivered build and the fact that build you has is the same we have.
  19. @nikaway 1. First of all - check the folder preferences on your laptop and PC, click the "View key" and make sure that key is the same. 2. If it is check the "Show peers" column in preferences and see if your peers can actually "see" each other. Further debugging steps may vary depending on results.
  20. @johnny1496 The read-only machine can seed data to other computers - unless the data is changed. Though, it is strange to see such messages in your log. Could you please collect logs from both peers and send us for analysis?
  21. @aBs0lut3z33r0 Yes, you can ask Sync to show the "Peers" column in preferences, click the peers and see which peer needs which amount of data to be uploaded / downloaded. Could you please share more details about your issues #2-5 to our support so we can help you to resolve them?
  22. Dear community, Sync 1.4.99 is now available on download site. Here is direct link. It is NOT available via auto-update yet. Change log: - Files containing non-ASCII characters in their names may not sync from Linux PCs - Fix PowerPC sync issue - Fix issue with proxy settings not applied - Fix issue with notifications shown sometimes even if disabled - Fix issue with "Out-of-sync" shown for Encrypted peers - Fix application hangs - Fix streams not syncing sometimes - Reduce minimum window dimensions - Other minor fixes - Cosmetic changes and fixes Previous public build (1.4.93) change log can be found here. Important Notes on Sync 1.4 Downgrade to 1.3 is not possible after installing Sync 1.4. (If you wish to downgrade - please uninstall Sync removing all settings, then install 1.3 and configure all folders from scratch) Important Notes for Sync 1.3 Users Windows XP and Server 2003 clients using Sync 1.3.x will not receive auto-updates to 1.4, but can still update to 1.4 manually. Known issues - UI is tiny on high resolution displays [Workaround] - Files may become "Out of Sync" in certain instances [See this thread] - Sync prevents some apps (Office, Autocad) from saving their files sometimes
  23. @ohdude It actually depends on way how admins are blocking Sync traffic. If they are using some smart traffic analyzer - it would be hard to overcome it. Please take a look at this article - it describes which ports and protocols Sync is using, it might give you a hint on what exactly is being blocked.
  24. @mirou Thanks for the logs, though I don't see them in our ticketing system. Did you get any ticket number in auto response mail?
  25. @lastfreedom The message indicates that one or more files was removed on your computer by either you or one of your applications. Sync indicates that it is going to propagate file deletion to other peers. It's really bad that sync crashed when you click the message - did you manage to collect crash dump? It should have .dmp extension and reside in %appdata%\BitTorrent Sync folder.
