@f.tmimi Please note, that Advanced folders as well as My Devices may not function on your 2008 server. I strongly recomment to use only standard folders.

@hakujin Archive is a part of Sync core functionality. Disabling archive completely will introduce another drawback: in some cases, files are going to be re-downloaded when they are moved or their timestamp modified on another peer. This peculiarity is tied to the way how remote OS processes file change events, and this is not something Sync can affect. So we have to choose here between saving space or traffic. Although, we would like to implement switch in future so user can make his own choice.

@Gumby1234 Could you please go to Settings -> Privacy -> Diagnostic and usage -> Data -> then send me a crash report (will contain BitTorrent Sync)? Send it via our Support Page. Thanks!
-
@spyboy Its likely due to 2.1. There was a known issue which prevented Advanced folders from working well on certain Synology models. I suggest upgrading it to 2.2.5 - issue should be solved then.

Problem Installing Btsync 2.2.2 On Raspberry
RomanZ replied to antimojv's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@haitzo Who is the file owner? Try doing it from root name. Also note, that "btsync" package is unofficial one and simple binary replacement won't fully work here. I advise to read this post for more details. In general the topic where it stays is dedicated to the package you used. -
@f.tmimi Is it 2008 or 2008R2? 2008 has Vista core and generally Vista is not supported for Sync 2.2 - this might be the reason why you are not proposed to get updated. 2008R2 has same core as Win7 and should receive auto-update.
-
@f.tmimi You may have auto-update disabled or blocked. You can update manually. What is your server version?
-
@badincite We already got that sort of requests before. It's technically complex, although we still consider implementing it in future.

Problem Installing Btsync 2.2.2 On Raspberry
RomanZ replied to antimojv's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@antimojv, @marklochrie You used packages from here: http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/18974-debian-and-ubuntu-server-unofficial-packages-for-bittorrent-sync/page-39?hl=linux This is unofficial package. And it is highly not recommended to mix 2 different of packages. I would advise to remove both now and install whichever you would like to follow. -
@macjonte Is it a first start or you already managed to add some folders? Also, what is the model of your phone and version of iOS?

Nas Build 2.2.5: Cannot Identify The Destination Folder
RomanZ replied to Borph's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@Borph The "Cannot identify..." message appears when .sync folder and its content was either removed or modified. Could you please check if .sync folder have the ID file and it still 32 bytes size? Also, was it clearly after upgrade or there were some other actions taken? -
"selective Sync" Auto Update Selected Folders
RomanZ replied to Gigantor's topic in Sync General Discussion
@Gigantor This is how Selective Sync works. Once you've chosen file to be synced selectively, it will stay in sync even if more updates and changes coming. Only new files in the folder will require to be manually directed to be syncchronized. -

Can't Apply License File To Nas
RomanZ replied to zdz's topic in Sync for NAS (Network Attached Storage)
@all There is explicit button "Apply license" in 2.2.5, so you can use it instead of playing with Manual Connection. Thanks everyone for feedback!
