On that machine, where signatures check fails, create a file, any) right in ESPRIT\Data\Technology\AgieVision folder. Or on the uploading peer rename ESPRIT\Data\Technology\AgieVision folder. Alex, updateSecretErrorundefined - this is just a non-human readable error that remained in Sync 1.4 for web ui, it's fixed in Sync 2. and it actually says "Please enter a valid Read & Write key". So most likely the problem is that the key is not valid. Can you please tell us where did you get the new key and what is it, I mean did you create it yourself or ket Sync generate it for you?

hhtmp88, If you want two-way syncing: add Whatsapp_Note8 to Sync on NAS, share it to the phone. In Sync on the phone disable Simple Mode in preferences, connect to the shared folder, pick "whatsapp" when connecting. -> Everytime, I want to add a folder in Note8, it asks me scan a BR Code, That's right, cause all sharing is initiated on a desktop. Mobiles cannot add a folder themselves, they can only connect to a shared folder. Apart from backup - this is initialed on a phone

Please provide more details about the problem - what are your peers, how they are connected to the network, what Sync version are used on them. From the description given it looks like a connectivity issue and need log analysis. But so far try restarting Sync on the added PC. If it doesn't help, please do submit logs for analysis as link above suggests. Thank you.

@packy in config one can define only classic 1.4 folders, and sorry, that has to be done manually. Yes, I meant echo "FFFFFFFF" > /usr/local/bittorrentsync/var/debug.txt @jonasj, template.js is not causing it. azim58, got them, but do you have logging enabled? that looks like non debug logs. And one more thing - memory dump: while sync is running and rating memory in terminal run gcore -o /path/to/core.filename <pid_of_sync>upload that core file as well. thank you.

packy, You can launch Sync as binary there. ssh to your NAS cd /usr/local/bittorrentsync/bin/ ./btsync See if CPU problem will remain. WEbUI will be available by port 8888. This is how you can run Sync via CLI using config, here're the details Can you please reproduce CPU usage on NAS and send the log: create debug.txt with FFFFFFFF in /usr/local/bittorrentsync/var/, reproduce the issue and send the sync.log to us. From problem description it looks like it's just btsync process not running properly, os update of Sync on Mac is unlikely to affect that the key factor here is a user named 'admin'. So even if you have a user with admin privileges, but different name Sync will fail to run. So you can check it in QNAP Control Panel. Then in Terminal (ssh ) see if Sync process is actually running and under what user.

azim58, An how many files are in the folders? Are the folders physically located on the machines? Can you please send logs to the support? tjluoma, each file has a timestamp is Sync database - ctime - the time when Sync detects a file being updated/added/removed, etc, and this timestamp is compared. So what happened is most likely this: while C was off, for some reason the file on C also got updated, not by you, in such a way that it's mtime remains intact, but ctime changes, and Sync is able to detect it only when it turns on. Then you perhaps updated the txt on A or B, so it's newer for you. and Sync detected it at some 11:14 am= ctime. Then Sync on C turns on at some 11:30, and file there gets this ctime. This is done in such a way to cover cases when a person puts older mtime file into the folder and wants it to sync. The team is considering switching to mtime, but the mentioned case shall be considered and the best flow developed. Thanks.

NicCo, Did you try re-adding the folder to Sync after you edited IgnoreList? Cause if you edited it while the folder was in Sync, the sub-folder itself will still be synced, though files there - not. So not disconnect the folders, remove the empty ignored subfolders from target peers and connect them back

Boutros, What I can think of is the change of the user. 2.0.85 run under root, and newer version - under admin. So the problem may be here. Do you have 'admin' user on your NAS? Check and make sure that btsync process runs on QNAP (easiest is via ssh) and under what user it runs.

rbtsync, it works, but peers just remain in the list in UI. this is UI bug. No need to reinstall. If you need to get rid of those offline peers from peer list badly, you can just remove folder from Sync, then add and share again.

sorry, but no. Due to known bug, the offline peer will remain, and unfortunately, you cannot delete it manually. It will be fixed.

Eric, are all PCs linked under one identity? If yes, keep master PC in "Disconnected" mode. Then add the desired folder to Sync on A,B,C,D, E. the folders will appear as dotted on master. And when right click on each -> connect, you will be able to pick location. One tip: Do it step-by-step - add folders on A, and connect these on master, then add folder on B, and connect these on Master, etc. Otherwise, taking into account that the folder are named the same on each on A-E, on master you will end up with 5 Data1 folders, 5 Data2 and 5 Data 3 not knowing which of them belongs to which of PC. If they are not linked, just share the folder via link from A,B,C,D,E, to Master, paste the shared link to 'Manual connection" and you will also be able to pick location for the shared folder.

burchland2, What Sync version you have on both? are they both connected to the network which allows direct connection between them? on the phone, did you ever move Sync installation to SD card? If yes, try to move it back to phone's memory. If it's not network, nor sd card, then please describe the exact steps of how you try to link them .

@all, Sync can backup any folder from SD card. But Sync doesn't work the way other apps do - when you enable backup, Sync does not scan the whole phone for jpg, png or whatever media. Sync works with folders you point it to. So if one has their photos stored on SD card, and then in Sync just enables "Camera backup", Sync backups the default camera folder - DCIM on *internal* phone's memory. If you want to backup DCIM from SD card,do "+" -> new backup -> Custom location and pick that folder. Or any other folder you want to backup.

Are these 2.0 folders? If yes, - known issue with ssl, being worked on. Workaround would be to sync 1.4 classic folders.
