  1. You're right and there're some other tasks that the developers are working on. They have to prioritize having quite limited resources only. Thank you for understanding. The team are always aware of new features in the platforms they're working with. To get the quick reply from support, please contact support. Thank you.
  2. The spinning icon means that there are some stuck syncing. Try these suggestions or contact support with debug logs: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205450355-My-files-don-t-sync
  3. Is it the same as discussed in the neighbouring topic??? Merging this.
  4. If you uncheck autostart in Sync settings, will it still startup? Check system's scheduler - is Sync duplicated there? Try reinstalling Sync. When uninstalling select to keep settings so as to save your configuration.
  5. The team's aware of Files app and integration with it. It'll be added to backlog when possible.
  6. Sorry, there's no way to disable or move it - Sync creates this inside each sync share to recognize that it's actually a folder that needs to be synced.
  7. ok, have you tried deleting Sync from autostart and adding back? or delete and create the registry key.
  8. yes, check user guides: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206216825-What-happens-when-my-Sync-Pro-trial-or-license-expires-
  9. you use init.d? then the startup script will be in /etc/init.d/
  10. The link above is more that one year old! You can download the latest Sync v from the site. you mean startup at boot? Is the option checked in Sync settings?
  11. Sync here runs as rslsync, not root. Thus - no permissions to access the folder.
  12. how's hd2 mounted - what are the parameters? do you see this error for other directories? In Terminal, can you do the listing of /mnt/hd2 without any error output? You have only one Sync running, and it's definitely running as root (checked with ps). Correct?
  13. Have you already tried these suggestions? They talk about BitTorrent Sync (it's an old name for Resilio Sync). forum.resilio.com/topic/42617-solved-crazy-btsyncexe-keeps-disappearing
  14. is it added to autostart once? Check on Startup tab
  15. in task manager, tab Details, enable column "Command line". Reboot and see what is the exact command that starts Sync.
  16. There's no "Its not possible to open destination folder" error. Perhaps, you mean this one? https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205450225-Service-files-missing-Cannot-identify-destination-folder- If not, tell me what the error message is exactly.
  17. - What else should I edit in the logfiles before sending them? - try to hide as little as you can afford. Especially IP addresses - these are vital when debugging network. You can hide filenames. - You can't connect to my sync devices using the logfile, can you? - we can't! -I have used the correct syntax for MAC addresses in the Sync settings. - before sending the logs, open the window with power user settings again so that it's recorded to log for sure.
  18. 1) As user guide says: The value is operating system-dependent. Correct syntax for MAC addresses is using lower case and colons: b8:27:eb:d2:00:3c 2) these log extracts don't show that "Sync is not connecting via the WiFi adapter". I can only see that it cannot connect to tracker. Sorry, there's no such single log line that will tell you or me all the truth about the problem. This requires overall log analysis. Once you don't want to send the logs to support, check these yourself: check that setting is saved (search for { "default_value": "", "name": "bind_interface", "type": "string", "value": "" } in the log), see which socket Sync actually binds to ( I can only see that it wasn't able to bind to some xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:x , it tell me nothing) , see which socket traffic goes through, etc etc etc., what not... use some network tools, like netstat, tcpdump, route print, etc
  19. that's how RO + Selective Sync work. Option to "overwrite any changed files" is always enabled, thus when you add the folder to Sync on phone again, synced files are overwritten and replaced with placeholders.
  20. Will this help? forum.resilio.com/topic/43669-solved-sync-window-pops-up-on-startup/
  21. to Sync apparently - the "Folders" tab. It does not work this way!! Sync is not Dropbox. This "default folder location" - is not working like dropbox. You don't put a folder to "default folder location" and get it synced. This ' default folder location' servers the other goal - it's the default folder location for the folder arriving from other linked devices. As for screenshot: Your device "some LAPTOP" IS linked to your identity "somename". This is the only device - as I previously said - each Sync installation IS TO HAVE ITS IDENTITY! What you call "...ahm, not linked to my identity" means that there a no OTHER devices linked to it APART from your "some LAPTOP". I'm really sorry that it's that hard to understand!
  22. what's the ticket ID? There are no support tickets with your current e-mail.
  23. "My devices" tab shows the devices linked with one identity. You can link all or some of your devices with one identity. The main benefit of this is that if you add a folder to Sync on one of them, it'll automatically appear in Sync on all others. Same with removal. In other words, you don't have to share each folder manually with each of the devices send them key\link\QR code, etc. I mean you link the devices once and that's all - folders are shared automatically. Each of the linked devices may have one of the three linking modes - Disconnected, Connected and Selective Sync. This mode determines how the folder, added to Sync on remote device, will behave on this local device. Each mode is described in UI and additionally in the user guide : https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205457775-Synchronization-Modes Also, My devices are explained here: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205457815-Sync-Private-Identity-Linking-My-Devices ..... it's always there, you cannot disable it. You will need to select one of the three if you link a few devices with one identity to tell Sync what to do with new folder which is added to sync. NO. Don't unlink. Each Sync instance needs to have an identity! Please read the guide. Else, if the concept of "MY devices" is not clear, better not use it at all. Just add a folder to Sync and share with others using key or link.
  24. 1) there's History in Sync. It shows all the activity. It'll say something "Peer_name deleted files" 2) there's user guide on restoring deleted files: https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/204754239-Using-Archive-for-file-versioning-and-restoring-deleted-files- 3) You can contact support for help and send the logs to them: https://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/206664730-Collecting-debug-logs- they'll help identify what happened.
