  1. Do you mean for Windows? 64-bit is definitely safe to install if you have a 64-bit Windows installation..
  2. Just letting you guys know that the script works fine with the release of 2.3. I am waiting for something to push an update out on the script. I will let you know when I have more info on that
  3. Sync 2.3 has just been released and it add some really great new features. One big feature is Windows Service! Yes it is implemented as of now. Take a look at the changelog posted here http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/41999-latest-desktop-build-230/ Happy syncing!
  4. Sync 2.3 is now released and you can get all the information about it here: http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/41999-latest-desktop-build-230/ The 2.3 release adds Selective Sync on the Linux platform - as well as other really nice goodies Happy syncing everybody!
  5. @hungarianhc: Sync 2.3 is now released http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/41999-latest-desktop-build-230/ take a look on what's new ;-)
  6. Congratulations on the release guys Was a lot of hard work.
  7. Like... Just one folder?! Normally you have one installation and that includes multiple shares if you have added it to your installation. What you can do is you can pause certain folders to stop synching things. See this help article on how to pause folders: http://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/206217325-How-to-pause-syncing Is this what you were looking for? If not could you elaborate on how your init.d script looks like?
  8. If you have API access you can do it like iswrong said but other than that, see my quote above.
  9. In BitTorrent Sync Pro you can grant someone access to your share and then have the ability to remove his access to it by removing him from that share again. There is currently no way to do this automatically but you can just set yourself a timer and then do it manually. See this help article http://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/205471375-User-Management
  10. I can definitely see why you had that thought and where it was coming from - I tried that a couple times tbh ;-)
  11. What do you mean by that? Do you mean the link to a share?!
  12. What you want to achieve is called "nested shares" and I discourage you from doing so. There is just a bunch of things that can go wrong if you have nested shares. Sync is even letting you know about this. Why not add those two shares individually to your backup BitTorrent Sync machine?
  13. There are some really nice things coming up - just wait a little longer For the mobile clients I cannot speak since I am not in the beta tester group there.
  14. The only reason I can think of is that you don't have BitTorrent Sync Pro. (comparison)
  15. @zkyevolved: Yes there is a setting in Veracrypt/Truecrypt to save timestamps and you have to turn that on like Roman said. @Roman: The only reason I would not sync a vitrual disk is logging. The logs and the sqlite databases will store all filenames in clear text accessible to anyone having access to the system. If one wants to avoid that he needs to sync the container instead.
  16. Well if your friend only granted you Read & Write access you just have that. If he changes your access to Owner you will be able to share that share with other people. Are you using the latest available version of BitTorrent Sync ?
  17. What are the specs of that VPS at OVH? Singlecore 1ghz 1GB ram just won't do it lel
  18. Well you can sync a Truecrypt/Verycrypt container with sync. There are plenty of threads on here regarding that kind of usage.
  19. I see! So basically the address you have to type in was not correct? I guess you can just add a new bookmark with the correct port.
  20. Did you stop the BitTorrent Sync process, change the config file to the port you want to have it set? To confirm your configuration runs properly, can you run the following command: /usr/local/bittorrentsync/bin/btsync --config /usr/local/bittorrentsync/var/sync.conf --nodaemonand see what it outputs?
  21. You can submit bugs through http://help.getsync and on the top right it has a contact form - here is the link to it http://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/requests/new For that bug: do you have any kind of adblock software running? Also just as a reminder, there is a sub-forum for troubleshooting issues. You can find it here http://forum.bittorrent.com/forum/108-sync-troubleshooting/. Maybe you can find some information on it there also. /e I saw that you already replied to one of the threads in the troubleshooting sub forum. I guess it is best to discuss this issue there instead of here
  22. They actually had that implemented a couple versions ago, but there have been bugs where the status was incorrect for example due to locked files so they took it out.
  23. (just saying that the US and Europe have had holidays like New Years and Christmas so some of the BitTorrent Inc. employees could still be on vacation. Also it is sunday. Sorry)
  24. Are you using read only shares as well?!
  25. For the future please open feature requests in it's dedicated forum called Feature Request. (Mods: please move this one thanks)
