  1. @Viper007Bond Yes, please - debug logs.
  2. @colinabroad Now got you, thanks for detailed description. Anything special about this folder? Some apps that might read/write data to the folder on startup on PC #2?
  3. @colinabroad It's time diagram. Left and right are flow for 2 your computers. Rectangles are states while arrows are your actions.
  4. @frafra Unfortunately there is no option to identify locked files by Sync means at the moment, though we plan to implement it in future. For now I can only advise Microsoft utility Handle.
  5. @roberthr There might be 2 issues related I'm aware of: 1) If your files are located on Linux PC/box AND contain some non-ASCII characters - they won't be synced. Issue is known and fix is coming in next build. 2) If your files are synced to Encrypted RO peer - they will be synced only once. Issue is also known, fix is in development. Does any of these fit your scenario?
  6. @pakokik We've released new version yesterday, 1.4.96. Please try installing it from scratch (not upgrading) and see if it helps.
  7. @daddyfix Okay, i'm glad to help. Though notice, that if your ext HDD is NTFS and mounted as read-only - Sync won't be able to add its service files there - which is totally necessary to sync.
  8. @sab34 We'll do our best to fix it within 1-2 weeks. Though this ETA is very vague and I can't confirm 100% that we'll stick to it.
  9. @suchusernamemuchcreative Oh, okay then. I don't remember exact path where the package stores the data, but there is a simple way to find that out. Once you've started sync, run the command: ps aux | grep sync And one of process displayed will be started with --config <path_to_config> parameter. Look into this config file - it will contain the preference "storage_path" which indicates where DBs are stored and where you need to put the debug.txt (and actually get the log).
  10. It is feature of 1.4 - but file movements are tracked only inside Sync folders. It was a common case in 1.3 that files moved inside folder were actually retransmitted.
  11. @chungyan5 There is limited support for nested folders. They are allowed only if both nested and parent are RW and technically are treated by Sync as completely different folders.
  12. @robson.sobral Thanks for the feedback. We are aware of the issue with file order, plan to fix in future.
  13. @ant_thomas You can add it by typing in path manually.
  14. @all, We've released a fresh update for iOS. Please check if your issue persists.
  15. @mirou Unfortunately, in such case log from a single machine is completely useless. We need to track what was happening on 2 computers simultaneously to find out why peers took decision to take old version as a new one.
  16. @suchusernamemuchcreative It looks like the debug.txt is created in wrong directory, not the one Sync is using to store DB. How do you run Sync? Command line / or some preinstalled package? If first - please share the command line, if it contains config - please share config as well.
  17. @mumen Just to be absolutely precise - all secrets you use are starting with "A..." and "B..." and none - with "D...", "E...", "F...", right?
  18. @Scott1x Got you, thanks. Can i ask you you to turn on debug logs for some time (couple of weeks) just in case that issue comes back? If it comes - mail me logs, description and the filename which does not want to sync - i'll try to find out what happens.
  19. @colinabroad, One more diagram to make sure I understand your scenario correctly.
  20. @lequick I confirm this issue in latest build available (1.4.93). We are working on the fix, sorry for inconvenience. @smajor For Macs it might be different issue. Mac OS loves to store data in xattrs, and seems we've got another issue here - encrypted nodes does not accept xattrs! We'll also fix it in future. @mumen Are you also using Encrypted secrets or regular ones? @jalcide I'll need debug logs to find out why Sync forecasts you 350 years of happy syncing. @evgen_ru Could you please contact our support with your issue? Please attach screenshots you've provided as well as issue description. @sfmcnally I confirm issue with encrypted folders. We've reproduced it in Lab and now trying to fix it.
  21. Looks correct - it your storage folder is .sync, it can be changed in config file is you run binary with the config file. If your storage is .sync - well, let me take a look what these 1.5kb actually contain...
  22. It doesn't work in that way on Linux at all. If you've got a link - just go to "Enter key" option and copypaste link there. Sync will accept it.
  23. @all, I'm hunting for the issue for pretty long time as not all the logs and environments contain info necessary to fix the issue. If you are willing to help to debug issue - I would love to see your logs. Note, that logs need to be: 1) in full debug output mode 2) collected from all peers 3) cover the same timespan 4) have the issue reproduced in covered timespan And yes - it is safe to send logs to syncapp@bittorrent.com. Just don't forget to deflate'em. Thanks!
  24. @joflo It is still possible in 1.4. Please do the following. On PC click: 1. Share 2. QR code 3. Read-write bullet On Android 1. Make sure simple mode is off in settings. 2. Add folder, scan code 3. Choose destination
